Right so girls, my head is literally spinning around in circles and I'm not the type to get stressed about things. I've already got a 14 month old little boy & haven't been on contraception since having him- but as you can imagine with co-sleeping, sex life is near on non existent haha.

Recently, over the last couple of months we have been trying for another; I cannot remember for the life of me when my last period was, I spotted for 3 days on the 28th March - 30th March & haven't come on my period yet,& feel as if I am pregnant! So I done the freedom pound tests from Tesco's and 3 came back positive all in one day.
The next morning I done 3 and all negative! I don't know what to think or what to do. Pls help girls:((((

As I am new it's not letting me attach any photos:(((

Upload to external site like tiny pic or something and post the link

If you’re desperate to know tonight I’d get a clear blue digital- worth the money. If not phone the gp tomorrow who may do you a dip test given the anomalies.

CtrlU · 25/04/2021 18:18

Only way to know for certain is to see a medical practitioner

No-one on here would be able to give you a definitive answer

anniebu · 25/04/2021 20:02

Wait a day and retest. Use the same brands you did on the first day of testing, for better comparison. I advise against using blue dye tests at the very beginning, they are notorious for evap lines.

MamaMoonbeam · 25/04/2021 20:17

How strong were the lines? May have been a chemical x

I've tried a clear blue, but it said negative. But they also never worked when I was pregnant with my son, very strange!

Were they all the same tests?

CB digital aren’t as sensitive as some of the not digital ones - so if very faint lines seen I wouldn’t expect a digital to show positive yet.

FRER (the 6 day early, pink dye) are the best - try one with those. Try and stick with the same ‘type’ as they will have the same level of sensitivity, which makes all the difference in the early days

I wish I could upload a photo so you could see more and be able to see what I'm seeing. They was the Tesco Own Freedom Tests. Which worked with my son. But I've done another test this morning and was negative so that's now another negative when I've had 3 positives! Heads all over the place!

It does seem that the lines have disappeared, I'm sorry to say it could've been a chemical.

A good amount of chemical pregnancies are followed by an actual pregnancy within the next couple of cycles. So fingers crossed for you

I haven't actually missed my period yet, I'm due AF on the 28th so do you maybe think that my HCG levels are still low and fluctuating???🥺

I can't be sure, you would have to wait until AF due date and test, then see.

The stresses of testing early isn't worth it as chemical pregnancies are common

Just done a early test the clear blue one that's meant to detect early, the ink has smudged but no line! So it's looking to me like it wants to make a positive but there's no line there!

Try a FRER. They are a lot easier to read

Unfortunately the blue dye tests are notorious for Evap lines. All you can do at this point is wait a few days and retest or see your GP
