Clearblue 3+ weeks showing early

Hiya,

Yesterday, I got 3+ weeks on a clearblue but I am only 4w+5 according to my positive opk test so was expecting 2-3 weeks to show! I did it in the afternoon too so not even FMU.

Should I be worried about this? I've googled it but I can't find much as it seems it's normally the other way around - people not getting the 3+ weeks until later. I did see some things about risk of down syndrome or a molar pregnancy and so just wondering if anyone else had the 3+ weeks come up early?

I would be grateful for any advice/experiences of this 🙏

Hi, I’m the same as you I got 3+ yesterday at 4+5 but I’m putting it down to early implantation. I had an implantation bleed at 8dpo and a positive test 9dpo which is quite early.
So maybe you just implanted early like me?
I had a chemical pregnancy literally two weeks before. With the chemical my lines kept getting fainter and fainter but these are stronger and hcg is rising to get 3+ so I’m trying to look at the positives.

I have a scan at 6 weeks as my daughter was stillborn at 37 weeks in October and I have to start medication from 6 weeks to help the placenta so I can always come back and let you know how it went if you would like?

@Clio91 I am so sorry for your loss.

I also had a positive at 9dpo so hopefully you're right and it's just down to early implantation.

Please do let me know how you get on at your scan. I have a scan booked for 8 weeks. I have everything crossed for you for this pregnancy ❤

I got my bfp at 8dpo, got a 1-2 weeks at 10dpo, 2-3 at 12dpo and got my 3+ at 18dpo so fairly early.

But I think it just depends what your starting level of hcg is. Mine must have just been on the slightly higher side in order to reach the 3+level a little quicker.

I’m now 19 weeks and all good.

Twins? 🧐

MayDay27 · 25/04/2021 15:18

Hi @Moominmiss I was just wondering if you had any early scans? I'm currently really nervous as I had some spotting so an early scan and bloods at what I thought was 16dpo (I got my peak for ovulation on the 31/03). The bloods came back 800, and the scan showed nothing visible. I had more bloods done 22dpo that came back 14,000 and the scan showed gestational sac but no yolk sac. I've been told that due to my hgc levels I must be further along than I think and that they should be able to see more if it was viable. I have another scan on Thursday but I'm prepared for the worst.

@Moominmiss that's reassuring, thank you.

@TreeRoad it did cross my mind 😬 think my partner would havea breakdown 🤣

@MayDay27 really hope you get posituve news on Thursday 💖

@MayDay27 I did have lots of early scans due to previous losses.

I had my first at 5+4 at the EPU where we saw a heartbeat, I then had more private scans at 6+2, 7, 8+4, 9+5, 10+3, 11+6, 13+4 and then my nhs one at 14 weeks. I then had another private scan at 16+6.

I never had my hcg bloods done though so I’m afraid I can’t tell you what my levels would have been at each scan.

Sending you so much luck for good news on Thursday 🤞🏻

I just checked back, I was 4 weeks on 4th December and got my 5 weeks of 9th so 4&5 aswell. I’m 24&3 now and all is well. Only one baby in there and I had my first scan at 5&4 so there was never a twin or anything like that. Wishing you a happy healthy pregnancy

BabyC21 · 26/04/2021 05:31

Oh just to add, after I got my 3+ weeks on clear blue the next day it went back to 2-3 and then back to 3+. It did this for 48 hours so I must have been borderline, so don’t worry if that happens to you

88dlp88 · 02/05/2021 08:11

@MayDay27 how did you get on? Hope it was positive news for you ❤

@Clio91 hope your 6 week scan goes well

Bizawit · 02/05/2021 10:19

@88dlp88 I got a 3+ at 4+5 as well . Had the same thoughts/ worries as you, but I think it can be quite common. I haven’t had a scan yet. 10 weeks today. I have scan + NIPT this week 🤞🏻.

Clio91 · 07/05/2021 18:39
