9 weeks pregnant and ALL symptoms gone

I was suffering from hyperemesis and woke up yesterday and all my symptoms have gone

I'm really worried. Does anyone have any advice? I rang my GP, but the receptionist said it wasn't an emergency and so I can't get an appointment for another week 😥

Were you physically vomiting and then suddenly it just stopped?x

SmidgenofaPigeon · 23/04/2021 13:09

It’s not an emergency because symptoms come and go in any pregnancy. If you’re very concerned could you pay for a private scan? Were you diagnosed with hyperemisis?

PlantDoctor · 23/04/2021 13:14

I didn't have hyperemesis but my nausea went away suddenly at a similar point to you. I was worried but all was fine. You could call your midwife for advice, rather than gp?

Worriesome · 23/04/2021 13:16

I echo @SmidgenofaPigeon about private scan, if there’s no bleeding then they won’t scan you at EPU so only way to get reassurance is through a private scan. Symptoms do come and go but if it would put your mind at ease then go for it x

Thank you / yes I just woke up and I felt absolutely fine, good even! I'm looking into a scan now Smile

Yeah and hcg levels actually peak around 9 weeks ana then start to reduce down again due to the placenta so it makes sense a lot of women do get some reduction in symptoms, not everyone does, with dd1 I didn't but with dd2 I defo did and was panicking like you but she was fine. You'll probably find your symptoms more come and go now xx

Hi @mamal29 I'm in a similar boat. Had awful sickness but now it's gone to less vomiting more nausea so big reduction. I'd echo what the others have said about the placenta starting to take over from now so hopefully just means we're through the worst of the sickness
I'm going to book a scan for around 10 weeks for reassurance but would have booked one anyway due to previous losses. Hope everything works out
