Evening all
I am 8 weeks tomorrow and my nausea is getting progressively worse. During the day it is ok but come 3/4pm it gets really bad and I am retching till I collapse into bed and fall asleep. I’m not bringing anything up. My stomach is constantly churning.
This is my 3rd and never had it like this before....any tips on what I can do??

Aww OP I remember that feeling. I ordered prego drops/pops (also known as queasy drops). These helped me a bit. I would also recommend seeing your GP for anti sickness tablets if it is getting too bad. They do help. Fingers crossed it doesn’t last much longer for you Flowers. Xx

Are you me?! I'm also 8 weeks, also 3rd baby and also suffering from sickness and nausea like never before. Unable to really eat as I'm retching a lot and can't get through the day without a nap. I haven't got any real advice but you're not alone!

My main concern is that the pregnancy's hitting me so hard so early this time because it could be twins...

Ellasmummyx1 · 21/04/2021 08:55

Honestly? Eat plenty. That was make or break for me

physicskate · 21/04/2021 09:20

For me, drinking more helped break the cycle. Might not work for everyone, but dehydration exacerbated my nausea.

@Deftly how funny! It’s a vicious cycle for me cos if I don’t eat then feel awful and if I do I then retch. I had a scan last week so I know it’s not twins as that was also going through my head!
I’m trying ginger and Lemon tea today and plain small amounts of food every 2 hours so let’s see...

@jdr1234 I’m also on my third and nausea started at 5 weeks, earlier than my previous pregnancies. I won’t sugar coat it and lie to you - but mines was the worst between week 5-14. However, I had excess saliva production which went hand in hand with my nausea so it made it so much worse. I had to constantly run to a sink and spit or swallow it but swallowing made me more sick.

Och I feel for you I really do, things were so bad I considered termination. Nobody would understand unless they were going through it too. I can only advise you to hang in there and ride the waves, see your GP also as they can give you anti sickness meds to help x

I found it was related to tiredness which might explain why it's worse this time, don't know what the solution is though

jdr1234 · 21/04/2021 13:51

Thanks girls. I’m making sure I nap every day which I think must help. I’m not being physically sick which I know I should be grateful for but the not being able to function properly everyday is really tough. Roll on 14 weeks where I’m really hoping it will ease. Only 6 weeks to go 🥴
