Does anyone have a similar experience? Iv had heavy bleeding for 10 days now im 21 weeks pregnant i have been checked in hospital and they cant find a reason for the bleeding. Iv had scans baby is fine my placenta is posteria. The doctors just say take each day as it comes and hope for the best. Would love to hear anyone who has had a similar experience.

Have you had a doctor check you don't have an eptropian? It's where the neck of the cervix becomes quite sensitive it can cause bleeding

Yes i have had loads of cervical checks they say no etropian and my cervix is closed.

I had heavy bleeds with my twins starting at 28 weeks. No reason found at the time - I ended up having a placental abruption at 34 weeks x

I have had heavy bleeding at that stage twice, both those pregnancies were successful.

In both cases the bleeding was caused by a UTI irritating my womb, it was classed as a threatened premature labour and I had to stay in hospital until I was clear of infection.

I had two big bleeds at 20 and 21 weeks, I was hospitalised because they were pretty heavy. Lots of bright red blood and they were keeping cross matched units for me on the ward just in case.

It was awful and I was on edge for weeks. Ultimately I had no further bleeds and my DS was born safely at term and is now a happy, healthy almost 5 year old.

They were never really able to say definitively what caused the bleeds.

I subsequently had another DS and had no bleeds in that pregnancy. I hope everything settled down for you, I found it really, really hard so I really sympathise. Take care.

Heavy bleeding from 27 weeks here, baby made a voluntary appearance at 29 weeks. No reason found.

Thanks for your reply. This was something the doctors suggested that it could be a partial abruption which wasn't picked up on a scan. Hope tour twins were ok.
