Hi all,

I’m roughly 6 weeks and completely DRAINED. I haven’t been able to do any work for the past 2 days and can’t even find the energy to put my trainers on for a walk round the block. Worried that being sedentary this early on might be dangerous? I just can’t!!!!xx

Totally normal. I was the same at 6 weeks. I was very active in yoga and couldn't do any position without huffing and puffing just after 5 mins which is weird until I found out I was pregnant! It got better after 8 weeks for me so I hope it'll be the same for you!

I'm 9 weeks and last week I had no energy at all, I was sleeping all night and napping most of the day but this week I have loads of energy x

georgarina · 21/04/2021 20:18

Oh don't worry about it. At 6 weeks you'll feel hit by a steamroller. Luckily with this baby it was over Christmas break because I literally couldn't get out of bed. It'll pass x

Thanks everyone, working from home is a total blessing right now I’d be falling asleep at my desk if I was in work!xx

Unfortunately it might not get any better, I'm 17 weeks tomorrow and still have really low energy levels some days. Like yesterday and today (had whooping cough vaccine yesterday) I've felt completely knackered and couldn't be bothered doing anything

Zooma3 · 21/04/2021 20:36

7 weeks pregnant. I do not even have energy to go upstairs and brush my teeth after breakfast, always out of breath and sleeping most of the day on the couch. Hoping it will get better after 12 weeks or will it get worse?

PerspicaciousGreen · 21/04/2021 20:38

Is it your first baby? I'm on #3 and the first trimester exhaustion is unbelievable. It's absolutely not dangerous at all to be "sedentary" (lol, mostly asleep!) at six weeks. Totally normal! With all of mine I've managed to get more done in the third trimester than the first! Hang in there.

Mosshead348 · 21/04/2021 20:45

@Zooma3 this is me! And I’ve heard it gets easier after 12-14weeks. Little munchkin taking all our energy!!x

@Mosshead348 thats true even though they are not more than 1cm yet!

Mosshead348 · 21/04/2021 20:46

@PerspicaciousGreen yes this is my first!! I’m also having insomnia which isn’t helping, so tired but can’t sleep lose lose 😂 however first pregnancy straight after a MC so I’ll take any symptoms I can have as long as wee bub is a fighter. It must be even harder with 2 wee ones to look after, kudos to you!!xx

You are building a whole human being! That's tiring. Just relax Smile

My husband is doing everything . As he put it, he's looking after #1 and #2 for twelve hours a day, I'm looking after #3 for 24h/day! I've been really super sick, though, so basically bedridden. Knowing the second trimester will come round is what's getting me through! 10 weeks so nearly there!

Felt like that too really early pregnancy, dont worry you should get a boost of energy throughout the middle of pregnancy, then come the end you'll be back to square one again lol!

Normal. Enjoy the early nights!
