Feeling like I can’t cope

I got my BFP last week as I tested due to feeling nauseous and things have escalated since then.

I’ve barely kept any food down since Friday and I feel nauseous all the time. I’m only 4+5 and don’t know if I can cope with this as I’m sure it’ll get worse before it gets better.

I have got 1 anti sickness med from the GP which doesn’t seem to be doing a lot but maybe it needs more time.

I just feel a bit beside myself, I’m exhausted, not sleeping well as I’m waking up to be sick.
Could it be HG? Anyone have any advice please?

Sorrry should have added I’m being sick upwards of 7/8 times a day. Today I have been sick 6 times already

I've got hg at the moment. I was told that if a med isnt helping within a few days , then to call back and get a different one. I also find that keeping food in my stomach can really help . So eating little and often can really help

@romdowa

How are you getting on? I feel so terrible. I’m hungry but as soon as I eat within 5mins it’s up again. I am trying to eat small/often. Got some crackers and plain biscuits but I’m put off by most foods too.

I’m someone who loves food and being hungry can make me feel sick at the best of times let alone now. Gahhh what a viscous cycle Sad

I'm 10 and a half weeks now and I'm doing far better. I'm not vomiting and dry heaving all day every day. I'm able to eat again and I'm not crying thinking I've made a huge mistake. I'm still a bit sick some days but nothing like I was. I really feel for you. I know the desperation for food. I was roaring I was so hungry

I hope you feel better soon - don’t be afraid to go back and ask to get the medication looked at.
I was proscribed travel sickness pills by my GP, did not take them as there was no mention of treating pregnancy nausea on the leaflet and wanted to double check with the midwife during booking in appt. She despaired ! They don’t help most people apparently. She is getting the GP to sort me something better.

Here are the NICE guidelines to help you request appropriate care. They are supposed to review medication after 24 hours and then weekly.

@BeastOfBODMAS

Thank you. The guidelines are really helpful.
