fawkeoff · 12/11/2007 14:26

twas over £50

nobodysfool · 12/11/2007 14:28

Bloody hell that was expensive! Was it all gold plated?Did it have everything you needed?

becklebigbump · 12/11/2007 14:29

Am 33+4 and packed baby's bag this morning. Still got to sort out my bag. Didn't do it this early with my DSs but like you I am starting to feel like Christmas is fast approaching and I would like baby stuff all ready so it is one less thing to do.

In baby's bag I have just put nappies, wipes, nappy sacks, sudocream, bibs and some tiny vests and sleepsuits. Think that is all I need in there!

Not sure what to put in my bag yet though.

fawkeoff · 12/11/2007 14:33

pretty much apart from a nightie......buti used the bag for ages it was a great changing bag for dd.i lost it at the ante natal clinic when i was pg with ds, i was gutted

nobodysfool · 12/11/2007 14:37

Minkus · 12/11/2007 16:21

loads of snacks and drinks, either you or your birth partner will get ravenous at some point and neither of you will want to traipse to the vending machine.

spugs · 12/11/2007 17:10

for me
anti bacterial wipes for the bog and thatgel for your handsetc
lip balm
lots of super sized sanitry towels and knickers
breast pads
couple of nighties (you can guarentee you'll get blood on one!)
dressing gown
slippers and socks
dont bother with clothes, i went home in what i came in wearing
nursing bra
wash stuff

for bubba
couple of vests and sleep suits
hat
going home outfit
couple of blankets (dont like hospital ones)
nappies
wipes

oh and dont forget your camera and change for the phone card thing.

i didnt pack mine till about 35 weeks but spent a while before that getting the stuff to go in it. mine went in a gym bag and i put babies in a little ruc sac. went and left babies in the car though so she had to wear a lovely nhs t shirt for her first few hours till my hubby could go home for it (hospital 5 min from house so rather then park he dropped me off, drove home and ran back very quickly)

oh and last time i really wish i had taken my diary as i was so hyper after the birth that i couldnt sleep and id run out of credit ringing people so couldnt use telly. so spent a lot of time wandering around in the room. would have been nice to record stuff while it was fresh

ManchesterMummy · 12/11/2007 17:17

Just make sure that your DP/DH is on stand by to bring you clothes to go home in (leave them out at home if you don't feel you have the room to pack them). My waters broke all over the jeans I was wearing as soon as I got to the delivery suite, having been slowly leaking all over everything else for the past 8 or so hours...
