With my first I didn't start showing until well into my 4th month, that was in the days were I was a slim size 10 and good stomach muscles.

With the second child I had a soft bump for most of my pregnancy, which did feel a tad strange.

Sleepisoverrated150 · 17/04/2021 16:53

I’m taller than you but I didn’t get a bump until 7ish months. I just looked a bit chunky for ages and even at full term I was the sand size as some people at 20 weeks 🤣 I had awful bump envy

physicskate · 17/04/2021 17:02

At 13 weeks, your uterus is likely to just be starting to poke above your pelvic bone. So it would be most unusual for a singleton pregnancy to have any sort of actual bump (beyond just bloating) at that stage. Very common not to get a bump until late teens or twenty + weeks for a first pregnancy. And likely to not be 'hard' until late in third trimester (at least that was my experience in both my pregnancies, but I'm not as petite as you).

Kimblebee19 · 17/04/2021 17:22

I'm little like you and at your stage just looked a bit podgy (for me) - don't worry, a proper bump is on it's way! Congrats!

user1493413286 · 17/04/2021 17:23

I’m slim and with my first i didn’t have a bump or really show until 20 weeks; I was in my normal jeans until 18 weeks. With my second I looked bloated and just like I’d put on weight until about 16/17 weeks!

mamaatthegym · 17/04/2021 17:27

I didn’t really show until about 24 weeks (I was on a plane and someone started talking to me about pregnancy... so guessed it was obvious by that point!)

I remember taking a pic of my totally flat stomach at 16 weeks and sending it to MIL saying I think there’s something wrong!

You’ll be waddling around before you know it! Grin

PotteringAlong · 17/04/2021 17:30

Your baby is still in your hips! You’ve got a while to go yet before you get a bump.

2021mumma · 17/04/2021 17:39

With my first I didn’t show till 5 months. Don’t worry it will appear soon.

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 17/04/2021 17:42

I didn't show until about 6 months with my first, then had a tiny bump right up until a month before my due date

thenameshastings · 17/04/2021 17:43

I didn’t start getting a small bump until around 24 weeks with my first, even when overdue I just had a really small neat bump, there were women who were months behind me but bigger. Perfectly healthy pregnancy and baby though.

idontlikealdi · 17/04/2021 17:53

I've got twins, and I'm a bit fat. No bump until about 20 weeks.

Hoplop · 17/04/2021 17:58

Exact same pre-pregnancy dimensions as you and first pregnancy I didn’t show until 20+ weeks. This one (fourth pregnancy, second baby) I was horrendously bloated from 6-7 weeks. To the point where people are telling me they’d guessed ages ago as I’m telling them about the pregnancy this week (almost 15 weeks).

Madcats · 17/04/2021 18:05

I went to what turned out to be my 23 week scan at about 13 weeks. My uterus tilts backwards, so I am told.

octoberfarm · 17/04/2021 18:07

Someone asked me if I was sure I was pregnant at 5 months because I looked so unpregnant 😂 It'll happen, don't worry!

ShutUpAlex · 17/04/2021 18:07

Do you want some of mine? I’m 10 weeks and I’m massive already.

May2021Mummy · 17/04/2021 18:09

I only started getting a proper bump around week 24

Lozzaa4 · 17/04/2021 18:17

Ah god ladies yous have all put my mind at rest a bit. Am so jealous of all these mummy to bes that have amazing bumps at this stage. I'll wait for my bump to come then. Obviously this is my first pregancy so literally clueless on what to expect and whats normal or not but thank yous akl so much

Congratulations OP, with my first pregnancy I didn't get the slightest whiff of a bump until I was 19 weeks, but I had made up for it by the end of my pregnancy!

starrynight21 · 18/04/2021 05:45

The top of the uterus just starts emerging from behind the pubic bone at 12 weeks. If you want to feel it, empty your bladder and lie down. Press your fingers into your pubic bone, ie the bone which is at the front of your crotch. "Walk" your fingers up towards your belly button. When your fingers reach the top of your pubic bone, you'll be able to push down into your abdomen, and you should be able to feel a fairly hard bump, the size of the top of an orange. That is the top of your uterus. Good luck !

Chanel05 · 18/04/2021 08:00

Very normal, baby is tiny then. I didn't really show until 23+ weeks.

buckingmad · 18/04/2021 08:49

I’m 5ft2 and was 7.5 stone when I fell pregnant. I didn’t put on any weight until about 15 weeks and until then I didn’t really have much of a bump. From about 16 weeks it started to pop out.

Moorelewis · 18/04/2021 11:48

I was a similar size to you pre pregnancy and I didn't show until after 30 weeks with both pregnancies!

ELBlack · 18/04/2021 11:57

I wouldn't say I'm little, but 5'7 and 9 stone 6 pre pregnancy, so slim! I definitely wasn't showing at 13 weeks, and my stomach didn't harden until about week 16. I'm nearly 18 weeks now, and I definitely have a bump, but I wouldn't say it's massively obviously if you didn't know. Makes me wonder where the 5kg I've put on have gone 😂😂😅

Lozzaa4 · 18/04/2021 12:15

Anyone else still get that roll and crease in middle of belly when sitting or slouching half way through 13 weeks 😂 if yous know what a mean. A think a just want my bump here now sk jealous of everyone who has perfect bumps straight away
