I am just over 17 weeks pregnant with my second baby and I feel drained and like I just want a day at home today and I feel so guilty because it's sunny. Anyone else feel like this?

yes, my husband suggests stuff all the time and I just don't want to. I've just worked 2 13 hour shifts in a row and then I've got two more on Sunday and Monday, today is my only day off in 5 days, and im 10 weeks pregnant. so my days off are so boring at the moment and I feel so guilty for it 😞

You definitely shouldn't! You're growing a baby and doing 13 hour shifts. You must be exhausted. X

Me!

Some days I'm just so exhausted even if I haven't done anything! I feel so guilty on my 2 year old on days that I don't take him out but really just feel like I need to rest.

I've felt like that today. I am 16wks5days and I've had the worst migraine since yesterday so today just planned to stay home but I do feel guilty because of the lovely weather outside. Also, I can think of household chores that need doing but just can't face it today.

So glad to know I'm not alone. I am suffering with migraines too penguin x

Don't feel guilty! I had my third 10 weeks ago and honestly spent full weekends I my bed while I was pregnant. I was still working full time during the week so with that, the back pain and spd, hg, migraines and low iron, by the end of the week I was done in. Do what you have to do to get through it.

Rubyrecka · 17/04/2021 16:36

I have been similar especially in the first trimester. So tired and having naps in the day during work hours! That's one good thing about WFH.

I have found the weather a little more encouraging, the vitamin D seems to be helping.

But try not to feel guilty, your growing a little human!!!

Anyone got any tips how to ease the migraines?

Paracetamol?

I feel you, 37 weeks pregnant with baby number 3, a special needs 5 year old and a wild 2 year old running around. Everything hurts, constantly feel angry and grumpy, can't sleep! Just want to curl up away from everyone until baby is here!

Maggiesfarm · 17/04/2021 17:20

I wouldn't feel guilty about wanting to stay at home. I love staying in.

I had migraines too around weeks 15 to 20 I think? Sometimes too much sleep actually made them worse. Stay hydrated, try and go outside for a walk even if it's the last thing you feel like doing, don't oversleep. Also there's something called 4head stick you can buy, you rub it across your forehead and it's like a menthol thing that cools and soothes your headache. It's good as a temporary measure.

Paracetamol is unfortunately the only pain relief you can take I think, it would help slightly for me but I did miss not being able to take ibuprofen.

I second the forehead stick it's great. X
