Hey all

This is my 3rd pregnancy and I’m feeling nothing, not even a flutter. I’m worried x

The normal range is 16 - 24 weeks but if you're worried, it's worth mentioning to your midwife who can hopefully help to put your mind at ease.

Best of luck with your pregnancy!

Do you have an anterior placenta?
As pp you still have abit time yet to feel something.

mummabubs · 16/04/2021 20:46

Do you know where your placenta is OP? I ask as I have had anterior placentas both times, didn't feel first born flutters until about 19 weeks plus and was even longer with my second (when I was expecting to notice them earlier as it wasn't my first!), that was more like 21-23 weeks. I definitely wouldn't be worried at 17 weeks x

Personally I would get a private scan to ease worry if I was getting no movement at all. You could speak to your midwife or GP and see if they will send you for an NHS scan.

I had movement from around 12wk this time (baby 6) but movements were few and far between until after 20wk. I was told my placenta is anterior which explained why it was so different to our others.

Echo what others have said about placenta, but I never felt a thing until 19 weeks.

tildaandjo · 16/04/2021 20:53

I didn't feel with either of my babies until after my 20 week scan, one anterior and one posterior placenta.

bubblebath62636 · 16/04/2021 23:08

2nd baby here, didn't feel a thing until 20 weeks, posterior placenta.

Salvationz · 17/04/2021 09:37

Thanks everyone, I don’t know if my placenta is anterior or posterior but I’ll be sure to ask at my 20 week scan 🤞 I don’t remember going this long without even a flutter in my previous pregnancies so was starting to get a bit paranoid x

Hi, with my first I felt the first kicks at 13 weeks, with the second not until 19. I honestly wouldn't worry x
