I'm 16 weeks and still so nauseous. I'll maybe have a few good days where my tablets must help and I don't feel sick 24/7 then it comes back with a vengeance. I just want to be back to my old self, not this emotional, nauseous wreck that can't get off the sofa.
I breezed through my first pregnancy and took it in my stride. This pregnancy has just been a terrible mix of nausea and anxiety!

@isitoctoberyet I'm exactly the same. I sleep so much and everything makes me feel like I want to gag, including the smell of the central heating (!).

I hope you feel better soon - I just wanted to send a message of solidarity!

@Florarenniemackintosh thank you. How far along are you? I'm the same! I can't stand the smell of downstairs in my house and I have no idea why! Also artificial smells perfume etc are a killer. It's so draining especially when it's lasted this long! x

Mine got better at 20 weeks, no idea why. I had it both times. It really is torture, hope you feel better soon.

I was exactly the same... first pregnancy a complete breeze right up to the end.
My second pregnancy has been sickness from week 6 and I am now on week 19 and it’s only just tailing off now. I was a mess for over a month then I was able to leave the house to do the school run but it has been truly awful. This pregnancy has been the total opposite to the first. I know people day every pregnancy is different but I would have not expected the different.

I’m also 16 weeks and nausea is there every single day without fail especially after I brush my teeth. It comes and goes throughout the day and the only time I can forget about it is whilst I’m eating, because I’d this I’m putting on a lot of unnecessary and extra weight as I keep snacking just to combat the nausea x

In the same boat here 😭 so depressed stuck in bed most of the day and really struggling to look after my 16 month old son. I seem to need even more sleep than him! And on top of it I have an awful cold and fever 🤒 I feel you! Xx

brushlaptop · 16/04/2021 20:17

I'm 14 weeks x

It was about the 20 week mark for me that it started to wear off a bit! I spent every day throwing up from 6 weeks to 20ish and I struggled so much! Everything set me off, the tablets didn't help at all so it was such a relief when I hit 20 weeks and felt a big difference!

hmmperhaps · 17/04/2021 07:02

Sorry OP, it's awful! Mine disappeared overnight in my 16th week.

Same boat here, 17 weeks today and just been put on ondansetron. I'm so scared of being one of the unfortunate souls that suffers all the way through. I was holding on for it to end at 12 weeks, then 16, now 20 is the new hope!
