I'm 4 weeks 1 day today after a miscarriage last May and have stabbing sensations in the area of my left ovary. Also has discomfort I'm my bowel all day (pain, no diarrhoea though) and my tummy is gurgling like mad. Am I just winding myself up with anxiety over these pains? Are they normal? Should I be worried? I'm terrified 😖

Hi op

I had a mmc with my last pregnancy. I am currently 4+2 and have the same symptoms as you cramping pains on and off, also gurgling and tmi but I'm going to the loo more regular and loads of wind also, I think that's all normal. I know how difficult it is in these early stages I can't stop worrying myself and scared to even think ahead or plan or do anything.

Pains are pretty common and usually nothing to worry about unless accompanied by bright red bleeding (spotting pink or brown is common). Bowel disruption is a very common side effect of the changing hormones but it does even out eventually.
I know it's really hard to relax in pregnancy after miscarriage but it does get easier as the pregnancy progresses. I'm now 22+3wk after 2 mc's & a few chemicals since our last live births, still worry but not as much as the early days.
Congratulations and good luck

@HPmagic @Chelyanne thank you both so much and congratulations to you both too! I have a scan on May 4th and it's going to be the longest wait ever. My miscarriage was also a mmc, went for a scan around 9 weeks after seeing the heartbeat at 6+4 so it was completely heartbreaking and I feel sick at the thought of it happening again. I wish we could just enjoy it all
