I'm only 7 weeks but I've got mouth ulcers on the roof of my mouth? Is this normal? Hurts when I drink hot drinks :(

Hey! It's been normal for me although only kicked in around week 11. I have been prone to mouth ulcers in the past but hadn't had them in ages - I actually always used to get them before my period, too!

I'd say normal, because hormonally things are happening and I've noticed the link before. Also because I'm eating more frequently (nausea) and sometimes vomiting, I think that doesn't help. I think there was another post about it recently. Stress probably doesn't help either.

I find that rinsing with dilute salt water helps. Are you taking a decent vitamin, getting enough sleep?

Hope they get better soon!

I've had tongue ulcers for the last week or so. Just discovered i'm very low in B12 and apparently that can cause mouth ulcers.

Thanks ladies, I'm just panicking it's oral cancer since I smoked for 12 years prior to this pregnancy. Stupid health anxiety 😓

Then again, saying that about the B12 deficiency, I could be anemic as I suffered with it when I was pregnant with my other two kids
