Nearly 6 weeks pregnant and the worst tummy bug of my life yesterday! Never been so ill. Only managed about 1 pint of fluid yesterday and no food. Spoke to G.p who said if no better last night to have an anti-sickness jab. Sickness stopped thank god! I know i'm most likely worrying over nothing but would it have done any damage to pregnancy? 1st baby so all a bit overwhelming and had rough weekend so feeling a bit sorry for myself!

don't worry at all, i had hyperemisis from 6-15 weeks with constant sickess, tiredness and barely ate! I was stone and half lighter at 16 weeks preg. Now 35 weeks and have a very strong active little boy inside!x

Thanks kelbel, that exactly what my best friend said. Being pregnant has made me worry about all sorts of things, i thought i was the sort of person to go with the flow-no point worrying about things you have no control over, but yesterday i was so worries! still bit better today so looks like on the mend!

Hi Mummywannabe, I had a bad stomach bug when I was 7 weeks pregnant, called the EPU, doctor, friends etc in panic and ALL said wouldn't hurt the baby. The thing that isn't good with infections is a prolonged fever so if you have a high temperature than take paracetamol. Hope you're feeling better now!

thanks har, thats really helped reassure me. feel bit better but feel very sick still but was like that before bug if i got hungry so guess it could be that.
