I get a period every month (before pregnancy) but sometimes it was a week after or few days after..

Mine did by a couple weeks each time. I had early scans to determine the actual gestational age.

Would other scans be just as accurate for getting the age correct?

It’ll make it harder for you to work out, but the dating scan (between 11 and 14 weeks but usually around 12 weeks) will date the pregnancy from the babies size, so your period won’t matter too much then.

I always have irregular periods, my cycle can be anywhere up to 47 days long. When I find out I'm pregnant my GP sends me to have a dating scan to get an estimate on how far along I am since we can't use periods or ovulation.
