3rd Labour

Just out of curiosity was your third Labour quicker??

My 1st was 15hr
2nd 5hr

I'm worried I won't get to the hospital in time 🤣

Interesting thread, my first two were quite quick so we shall see x

My midwife says generally third comes quicker as your body knows what it's doing but obviously not always true I was just curious 🤨

12 hours
6.5 hours
5 hours

Yes it was quicker, but I don't have quick labours.

DC1 21 hours
DC2 12 hours
DC3 5 hours

DC1 2 hrs
DC2 2 hrs
DC3 24 hrs!

Established labour
DS1 - two hours
DD - about one hour 45 minutes
DS2 - five minutes (from 5cms to baby actually being delivered )

My midwife told me that A+ Blood group women labour quicker on average. Fuck knows if that’s true but i’m that group and my third practically rocketed out.

Haha I'm just worried about not making it to hospital 🤣 we are 30 mins drive away and if my OH is at work he's 45 mins away

My 3rd was my quickest but like most of mine was induced.

Dd1 12or13hrs (induced)
Dd2 6hrs (spontaneous, so was longer really but actual established labour was 6hrs)
Dd3 2hrs (induced) she was no contractions to born in 2hrs
DS 4hrs (induced but took longer to get me going)

1st was 7 hours
2nd was 6 hours
3rd was 1 hour luckily already in hospital for unrelated reasons.

For all of you who had super quick labours, how did you manage to get to hospital on time x

1st 3 days (horrendous complications)
2nd 90mins from first twinge
3rd 12minutes of active labour! But I had irregular contractions for probably an hour before then and knew to get to hospital asap (no stitches and home 6 hours later)

Luckily my waters went with both 2 and 3 in advance of labour so I had some warning otherwise they'd have been kitchen floor jobies

My third was slightly longer!
1st 3 hours
2nd 2 hours
3rd 4 hours

Ohh I'm so worried lol my waters didn't break with either of mine so I'm not expecting them to with this one!

30 minutes. Delivered by DH in the kitchen.

Oh wow!! My OH is a absolute wimp and afraid of blood I have no hope 🤣

Dd1 was 37h
Ds was 10h
Dd2 was 12 h but that was induction at 37 weeks so they were pretty pleased with that. Only about 2 hrs of active labour.

With my second I thought I was going to give birth at home but managed to get taken to the hospital via ambulance and had little one 45 mins later. It was traumatic x

Yes. My first was under 6, second 2 and a half, third hour and 15. They arrived at home on the bathroom floor delivered by a lovely paramedic

Mine were not in a rush to get out and my waters have never gone naturally.
1st 3 days of induction, 7hr 38mins after waters broken.
2nd 6 days labour from 1cm to 5cm dilated, 2hr 19mins after waters broken.
3rd 2 days labour, 11mins after waters broken.
4th & 5th no labour as elcs at 38wk, breech twins.

My 3rd was 16 minutes. I got to hospital and they told me I'm only 3cm within seconds I was pushing and out he came. I'm currently pregnant with my 4th and worried I won't make it in time 🤣

Ohh gosh I'm very scared 😦 I'm hoping I make 🤞

If helps in the only person I know who's had such crazy quick labours, all my friends where quicker with their 3rd but nothing out of the ordinary

And your last was 5 hours so quick but nothing extraordinary
