one step lines

hi all,

firstly sorry I can almost see the eye rolls through the screen lol this gets asked so much.

my question is a little different though. I am anywhere from 6 weeks to 7 weeks plus, I had irregular periods due to still breastfeeding. my lines on one step tests have been very random. in the last week the test line comes up before the control line even does but is varying degrees of darkness. some days it is darker than the control line other days the same darkness and others the test line starts dark and fades.

what is that all about? I'm quite excepting of what will be will be, but these are all from a huge multi pack which is why I'm even still testing. can the same batch really have this much difference in dye??

I have a scan on Thursday to date the pregnancy. I guess nerves are just starting to kick in and fluctuating lines are not helpful!

They'll be affected by how diluted your urine is at the time, so the lines won't always be the same even though they're from the same batch

ah I did another one with second morning urine and its darker than the one I did this morning...no rhyme or reason to it lol!

I wouldn’t worry if some are darker than others then some lighter so long as they aren’t all getting lighter I think ur good! X

Evidence now suggests that FMU doesn't make any difference to the strength of lines and actually you might test stronger later in the day.

Even within the same batch, there are variations in strength so all you are testing is a simple y/n question. The scan will give you the answers you seek.
