32 weeks and in agony at night!

I’ve had such an awful nights sleep. Really not sure if this is something normal or something I should get checked out. I woke up in the early hours in absolute agony with my bump, I was laying on my right hand side and I could barely move or breathe. It was like sharp shooting pains all around the bottom of my bump. I was almost in tears trying to roll over it was so painful. When I did eventually manage to roll over, the pain subsided. The right side is where I usually feel most movement so is it maybe the way baby was lying? Is this sort of pain normal? It had me so worried!

I would give your midwife a call just to let them know, they might want to check you out. It could have just been the way baby way lying. Hope everythings ok x

As a pp stated it could be something your midwife wants to know about, could also be a ligament pain or muscle strain from the weight of your bump pulling downwards. It's more likely to be a muscular or soft tissue issue (you didn't mention baby movements being affected or any other concerns)but I'm sure your midwife can reassure you if worried about baby.

I also had a crap nights sleep despite a carefully crafted pillow fortress so I do feel for you. The third trimester is a mean beast. x

Baby has been wriggling away this morning but the movements feel very jerky and more pronounced, I guess. I’ll give the midwives a call. Thanks ladies.
