Shooting pain next to belly button

Hi all

I’m 28 weeks on Tuesday and today have woken up with what I can only describe as a shooting pain to the right of my belly button whenever I get up or change position on the couch/in bed. It doesn’t feel like round ligament as I’ve had that and that feels lower and more to one side.
This is just slightly to the right on par with my belly button shooting downwards. It does feel muscular but I don’t really know whats there?

Has anyone else experienced this or something similar? Baby is very active and can feel higher up sometimes. I have my midwife apt next week so I will mention it.

@SB1712 this happened to me about 2/3 weeks ago. I’m 24 weeks now. I had what I would say was pretty serve pain just above my belly button, felt muscular and was ten times worse when I was moving - mostly when sitting down and leaning further back or forwards. I lay down on my side for a few hours which seemed to relieve it and then when I got up for dinner it had disappeared. Are you still getting it now? I’ve not had it since. I had been painting the nursery most of the day that day, so I figured I had overdone it and pulled something x

Call the PAU and see what they say, OP.

I had that a lot with both my pregnancies between 26 and 30 weeks!

Thanks for your replies! Strangle seems to have eased now, perhaps I pulled something in the night? I did notice when I woke up this morning that the baby was very high so perhaps she has moved up in the night and things are stretching?
I’ll definitely mention it to the midwife this week. Thanks everyone.
