Citalopram

Hi all,

I stopped my Citalopram (was on 10mg from 40mg) when I found out I was pregnant back in December, but recently my anxiety hasn't been the best, just wondered if any of you have taken Citalopram and what mg was taken during pregnancy? Thanks all

I'm on 30mg citalopram daily, I don't think I could have come off it during this pregnancy x

I was on 40mg when pregnant with my DD, nearly 4 now. It was right for me and baby at the time I don’t regret it. She’s happy and healthy. Had consultant care throughout and they were never concerned, I often felt like a burden as they obviously were used to mums with much more serious reasons for needing the additional care. I was on it for 10 years but felt able to come off it completely 3 years ago. Now pregnant again and so far I’m ok. Xx

I took 40mg during pregnancy and 2 years of breastfeeding and my dd was absolutely fine 🙂
