Acupuncture/Feroglobin?

Hi all. Hope someone can help. I've recently had 2 miscarriages so I'm trying to see what I can do differently. I've already started to take ubiquinol to help my eggs as I'm 36. I have a acupuncture seasoned booked today to help with fertility. I was wondering if anyone tried acupuncture and had any successful stories or experiences p/s. Did feroglobin work for anyone, read it's similar to gletorol in usa and that's had positive reviews. Or what did people do differently to help after a mc..Thanks for your help ❤

Hello, i started acupuncture a couple of months before starting ivf last year. Although i didnt get pregnant straight away my egg quality was improving. Second round was early miscarriage and third round i was successful and now 29 weeks pregnant.

Acupuncture helped reduce my stress levels, reduced period pain and clots and the hormonal breast cysts i would get vanished. But i do know that acupuncture doesnt work for everyone

I also took coq10 and vitamin d and preconception multi vitamin

Good luck Smile

@SantoPalo thank you and congrats. When I fell pregnant again my stress levels were doubled it was crazy lol. Yea I'm hoping if anything it just helps to calm me and reset my body before trying again. How often do you have treatment? Thanks x

I wasn't TTC but I had accupuncture to help with amenorrhea (no periods for 5 years). It worked in 2 months, one session a week. It's very good for fertility issues. I also took floradix

IloveGod2 · 10/04/2021 10:23

@Springfern hey hun thanks for your reply. Yea have heard alot about the overall benefits. Cant help to try. Are u gonna ttc now?🙏

@IloveGod2 thank you. I was having acupuncture once weekly. And acupuncturist recommend taking florodix also.

My husband and I tried to get pregnant for 3 years had no luck. I had acupuncture for 2 months. I got pregnant. It was very expensive but my company covered it. Maybe it worked?? I just don't understand the chi... energy... stuff. I have a master's degree in biomedicine so it's difficult for me. I'm willing to try again to see if acupuncture really works. So far I'm still sceptical. A healthy diet is better than feroglobin.

IloveGod2 · 18/04/2021 08:58

@katieey hi hun thanks for ur reply. I notice I stress so much especially when I got pregnant second time after the mc. I've also started meditation which really helps and taking some other vitamins. I do have anemia and find the feroglobin helps. Hoping when I ttc next month this baby will stick. 🙏. For now doing acupuncture every 2 wks until I start ttc again. Did u go it while pregnant as well

No, I didn't have acupuncture during pregnancy. But I guess it's different for everyone. My acupuncturist said I didn't need more treatments.

Hi @IloveGod2 just wanted to share my experience with you.

So we had been TTC since December 2018. I finally got pregnant in august 2019 then mc in September. I got pregnant again straight away after but that also ended in early mc in November. My cycles are anything between 32-43 days, and vary each month.

I started fertility acupuncture, with a view to having it once every two weeks. I had one session then fell pregnant (could have been nothing to do with it of course). That also ended in my third mc. Once the mc was over, I continued with the acupuncture, whilst also using the clear blue ovulation tests. As soon as I got a flashing face I called my acupuncturist and she booked me in ASAP. We did the same when I got a static smiley. So I had 3 sessions very close together. I ovulated earlier than I usually would, which I did not expect after mc at all. I fell pregnant again that cycle, and I'm currently still going at 23 weeks.

Acupuncture could have had nothing to with it, but something made my cycle that month a normal cycle.

I also took ubiquinal, high strength vit d, the vita west omega 3, methylfolate instead of folic acid (but then took folic acid when pregnant just to cover all bases), and also as PP said, floradix. I took the one with added b vits because I also read they can help regulate cycles.

So I don't know what helped, if anything. But I really enjoyed my sessions and I do think it made a difference to my cycle length. I'm not sure the floradix would have made a difference that quickly but who knows.

Also just to add, I took steroids and progesterone during this pregnancy. I firmly believe that for me personally, the acupuncture helped regulate my cycle, and helped get pregnant, and the steroids have helped me hold onto the pregnancy so far.

Sorry, that was really long. I hope it helps and makes sense!

I would also recommend reading 'it starts with the egg'

@Daffodil21 thanks for sharing and congrats. I have another session on saturday. I have to say I'm more relaxed now even had the strength to put my thermometer down lol, until I try again next month. I'm also listening to a lot mediation. Will look into floradix. Thanks again

@Daffodil21 sorry what's the steroid for?

OP posts:
Daffodil21 · 20/04/2021 08:37

@IloveGod2 I'm glad it helped you relax. I really enjoyed my sessions.

The steroids are immunity suppressants, which are used as a treatment in situations where your body treats a baby as a foreign object, and rejects it. I have no idea if I actually needed this treatment as I haven't had the tests, but so far so good!

IloveGod2 · 21/04/2021 13:40

@Daffodil21 I see thanks. So actually spoke to my company hr and they cover acupuncture. So I've just signed up to them. I think it just need to pay £2.50 tax. Which is nothing compared to the actual cost of treatment lol. That should defo save some pennies. Lol.

@IloveGod2 that's good! I did cringe at each payment but it was definitely worth the money. Hope all goes well for you

My friend had acupuncture and it worked, made her "less clotty" apparently. I had reflexology which was incredible as the lady actually knew I was pregnant before I did!
