Tear in uterus

I'm 7 weeks pregnant today and yesterday I had a scan because I was bleeding and cramping and was told I have a tear in my uterus.
It's 32 x 10 x 10mm
They said it's not super close to the baby so SHOULD be okay

But they haven't told me anything else about healing or anything....
has anyone else had this? (Pregnant or not)
Did you have a successful pregnancy?
Did it heal itself?
How long did it take to heal?
What was it caused by?

The only thing I can think that may have caused it is having a D&C - there's not really any other logical explanations as to why.

Just wish the bleeding would stop because it scares me half to death each time I go to the loo. And the cramping is annoying

Hope someone with direct experience will be along soon.

I don't have this but do have a sub amniotic heamatoma, which is a bleed inside the amniotic sac. Mine is where the umbilical cord joins the placenta and they think its been torn.

So I can fully relate to how terrifying it all sounds and how awful the waiting periods are. I at least didnt have to experience the bleeding (so far). Mine was picked up at 20 week scan and I am now being watched much more carefully. I suspect you will be the same, but possibly not til a bit later on.

The best advice I can give is don't give any thought into what caused it. It wasn't you! I have very deliberately not been focussing on the number of times i was jumped on by my toddlers or the furniture I moved etc. It just won't help. Guilt on top of worry is not helpful and won't make it better. Ask them if there is anything specific you should be doing (resting, not lifting, etc) but otherwise there is nothing you can do but wait.

I have everything crossed for you. If it helps in anyway, I've had my first growth scan since they found it and baby is growing perfectly and no concerns atm. Good luck!
