UARGH - IM JUST GOING INTO MY 2ND TRIMESTER AND LO AND BEHOLD MY APPETITE HAS RETURNED WITH FULL FORCE AND I CANT AFFORD ANY FOOD!!! We've got "food" in the house, like a few noodles and toast, here and there.. but I don't want that. Its not filling me up, its making me feel sick. I want BURGER KING, MCDONALDS, DOMINOS...ETC - to the point where I've been trying to sway others to order food for lunch in the hopes that they will get me some extra fries.. I LITERALLY FEEL LIKE A BIG GREEDY MONSTER, ALL IM CRAVING IS FAST FOOD. and im getting VERY ANGRY that i cant get anything..
Its worrying me how ANGRY and DESPERATE i am... im kinda tempted to walk to mcdonalds and just stare at them till they give me what i want!! LOL!! and seriously when i say im poor i mean... £0.00
:'( - damn maternity pay

But seriously, whats happening to me???

Other than the food cravings (which I can completely relate to!) how are things? If you really have £0.00 do you have any support around you? Hope you're okay!

Deftly · 09/04/2021 20:44

But your second trimester starts at 13 weeks and mat pay doesn't kick in until 25 weeks at the earliest?

Formulation123 · 09/04/2021 20:45

Ohhhh I loved fast food when pregnant. I don’t l normally like kfc but omg!!! Once I convinced DH to take me to Burger King and we got a flat tire, I cried, so hungry and couldn’t even get my fix. Closest I’ve ever been to understanding addicts.

Maybe this bonkers idea where she’s off on maternity and is pregnant again.
Mother2princess · 09/04/2021 21:34

If your struggling for money and actual food i suggest you speak to your midwife for support also try olio app free food and cheap food on the to good to go app

Analysethat · 09/04/2021 21:44

I’d be more concerned you have zero money and are expecting a baby/already have one than making a thread about how you want fast food.
Don’t mean to be rude but I’m not sure how you can be so blasé about it.

Troyhelena · 10/04/2021 10:39

How old are you?

abeanbaked · 10/04/2021 12:08

@Troyhelena what's that got to do with anything?

Troyhelena · 10/04/2021 12:46

@abeanbaked just sounds quite young

SmidgenofaPigeon · 10/04/2021 12:50

If you can’t afford a 99p cheeseburger from the saver menu then I think you might have bigger problems.

nellly · 10/04/2021 12:52

I totally get this I'm in my second trimester and I'm hungry ALL THE TIME and also really prefer junk food. I'm trying to force myself to eat healthy though for the baby's sake

This.

Fast food places do promotions all the time where you can get free fries and extras, look around online and on their social

Some people full pregnant unexpectedly or could lose a job before knowing they are pregnant. Just because someone does not have the money right at the moment does not mean they won't by the time the baby is here. Monthly pays are different and as long as you have the main stuff for the baby and money to feed your baby etc try not to worry. I see so many mothers being judged to lack of money, it won't make u a bad parent. I feel we should just support each other because the one thing what would make my pregnancy harder is people judging.

abeanbaked · 10/04/2021 18:43

@Troyhelena outstanding that you have been able to guess this person is 'young' by their post..

Ofcourse only young mums struggle financially 🙄

nimbuscloud · 10/04/2021 18:47

Can you access a food bank maybe?

nimbuscloud · 10/04/2021 18:47

If you literally have zero money

Janxyb · 10/04/2021 18:57

Not sure your overall situation but maybe you could apply for healthy start vouchers Smile I know that won't get you a mcdonalds but will help fill the cupboards up a bit x

HumunaHey · 10/04/2021 19:09

@Troyhelena

How old are you?
It doesn't matter how old she is anyway. That wasn't a part of OP's post.

OP, I felt the same in my first trimester. I'm glad that it's settled down or I'd dread to think how huge I would be. I'm already significantly bigger than I was at the end of my first pregnancy.

sunshine650 · 10/04/2021 19:26

It don't matter your age, it's the love you have for the baby what counts

00100001 · 10/04/2021 22:00

I'm sure that love is enough to clothe and feed the baby...
00100001 · 10/04/2021 22:02

OMG you've got 7 month old baby AND you're 3+ months pregnant???

fuck me.

sunshine650 · 10/04/2021 22:50

@00100001
Well yeah obviously that also but you don't need to be spending stupid amounts.
Also so what if she is 3 months pregnant, don't be so rude

00100001 · 10/04/2021 23:33

Are you the OP??

Troyhelena · 11/04/2021 00:28

Just their style of writing. Just seems a bit immature.

HA! I am a young mum myself. I have two children under 4 and I’m 24 Smile don’t take words out of my mouth!
