Hi All,

I was hoping we could talk pregnancy pillows!!

I'm not at the point of feeling like I need a pregnancy pillow yet but wanted to start looking into them so I can get one ready.

Honestly my hip is already killing when I try sleeping, but I'm not sure if a pregnancy pillow would help that.

What pillows have people used and liked or disliked?

I'm currently leaning towards the Bellamoon Full Moon 7-in-1 Pregnancy & Nursing pillow. I like the fact you can unzip and use for feeding.

Hope to hear from you soon Smile xx

The BBhugme! Expensive but worth it! I've also had the dreamgenie pillow and it's rubbish in comparison

Peaplant20 · 08/04/2021 19:02

The pillows defo help with the hip ache!

WalkingThroughTheWoods · 08/04/2021 19:03

I just used a V pillow and it was perfect Smile went under my bump to support the weight and between my legs to keep my hips aligned and stop them aching. Also wasn't too bulky in bed and easy to manoeuvre when I changed position.

Sunshinebunshine · 08/04/2021 19:28

I have a theraline one. It's amazing. It definitely helps with your hips.

pigglepot · 08/04/2021 19:28

@WalkingThroughTheWoods I've got one of those two and it ended up with a big dent in it where my knee rested 😂

The BBhugme is amazing because it's really long so supports not just your knee but between your legs and feet two. This is my second pregnancy and I wish I'd bought it for my first!

I've got a V shaped pillow from Ikea that I used when pregnant with my son and it's back out again this time round. I love it and it was a lot cheaper than others too!

1boo1 · 08/04/2021 23:29

Bbhugme is amazing! Worth every penny and know I'll use it whole pregnancy and beyond. Also looks great on the bed too x

I bought a 12ft u shaped pillow and it really helps even for sitting up when both hips hurt too mucus during the night. If your hips are hurting though you may have pgp - speak to your midwife and they'll likely refer you to a physio. It is better to identify it early so it doesn't get worse. Through physio and strengthening exercises im often pain free at nights vs waking up in pain 3-4 times.

I’ve just bought The Total Body Support Pillow from kneepillow.co.uk (£40) I spent ages researching as I have chronic lower back issues/pain and honesty so far it’s wonderful! Massive, full body length, U shaped pillow!

Grognonne · 09/04/2021 10:33

BBhugme! I put off buying it as it was so expensive, but decided to treat myself at 30 weeks as was getting uncomfortable. It’s great, also so comfortable for the sofa and keeping your back in a stable position when sitting up.

Jeiko · 11/04/2021 19:27

Thanks everyone for your replies!! I’ve gone with the BBhugme hope it arrives soon and helps ☺️ Sad I know but I’m super excited 😂

Thanks for this post ladies! Never heard of the BBhugme but have had a google and looks fab! Can’t wait to maybe give it a try

TheCraicDealer · 11/04/2021 19:37

You won't regret it Jeiko, I got one when pregnant with DD (18mos) and never stopped using it! It's insanely comfortable. Now I'm pregnant again I can stop feeling bad about still relying on it as a sleep crutch Grin

You can also loosely tie the ends together and use it as a little seat for the baby, it was really handy when DD was learning how to sit up on her own.

Tvscreen · 11/04/2021 19:52

I have a BBHugme and I love it so much. I’m probably going to continue using it after pregnancy.

WantingAnother · 11/04/2021 20:01

Can I ask where is best to buy it from please? Is there anyone that does have it on deal or will I just need to convince DH of it’s value lol

1boo1 · 11/04/2021 20:08

You can get them direct, or a few sites online. Only offer I've seen is getting a free cover for it. It's not needed and worth the money without. Love mine 😁

TheCraicDealer · 11/04/2021 20:57

I got mine from natural baby shower- you get 10% off your first order once your register which isn't to be sniffed at at that sort of money. I think scandiborn does a similar offer.

Jeiko · 23/04/2021 08:11

I know it’s expensive but I’ve had the BBHugMe for a little while now and you were all spot on I love it!! My hip pain isn’t as pain which is brilliant. The only issue I have is fighting the cat for it as she loves it as well 😂 she often now lies across me and the pillow whilst I sleep 😂 She’s like having a little heat bag, often on my hip and she purrs like mad!

I just wanted to say thank you for the recommendation on this thread, I just purchased the BBHugMe on Natural Baby Shower and got 10% off when I signed up so paid £130.50 instead of £145 Smile
