Growth scan 28 weeks

Had a growth scan today at 27+6 due to low lying placenta and bleeding on and off trough out the pregnancy so they want to keep and eye on him. They said he weight approx 2lb 9oz is that good?? She said it's average so worried he's small?? Both my other children were 7lb 13 and 7lb 8 at birth so not expecting a big baby. If you've had a growth scan at 28 weeks how much did your baby weigh? X

My DS was the same if not less at this age. If they were worried about his weight they would have said something.
Premature babies that are born at this gestation are around that weight.
Babies tend to put most of their weight on around the end of your pregnancy, I think around 30 weeks is when they shoot up in weight.

That sounds pretty normal.

I only remember weight estimate for our twins at 32wk, they were estimated at 5lb each at that point which was above average. Their birth weights were 17lb combined at 38wk. They say the estimates can be be out by up to 25%.

Thank you I was just curious I know it's only estimates and she said he would be average size like my daughters were which is fine by me lol x
