Terrified for early scan today

Decided to go for a private early scan at 9 weeks, mainly for my well being as I have been an anxious mess the last couple of months.
Previous miscarriage so just want to check that 1. The pregnancy is in the right place and 2. If there's even a baby there!
Need some reassurance please. Everything will be fine, right?

Sending you all the luck. If you’ve had nothing to suggest otherwise then the odds are in your favour that things will be just fine.

BUT having had 4 miscarriages in the last year myself I know only too well the anxiety.

Up until this current pregnancy the only experience I had of early scans was being told baby had no heartbeat.

I ended up having scans at 5+4, 6+2, 7 weeks, 8+4, 9+6, 10+3, 11+6, 13+4 (nipt), 14 weeks, and I have one booked this weekend at 16+6!

Most will say that’s overkill but after so many losses the reassurance was well worth it for me.

Now I feel him moving and I have a different source of reassurance.

At 9 weeks you should see a lovely little baby!

Good luck @lolateddy I had a 9 week scan last week after a MMC last October and all was well. I was feeling anxious too and wanted to know either way whether things were progressing. Hope you get to see a nice strong heartbeat.

Good luck! I am 9 weeks today so at the same stage. Probably going to wait for 12 week scan but am occasionally tempted to have a private one. I also have the fear of MC having had one previously but by 9 weeks the risk has actually dropped quite a bit. Hope it goes well x

My first scan after loss was extremely difficult. We also did an early to ease our minds after I showed no sign of loss previously u til finding out at routine 12wk.

Really hope all goes well for you today. I'm sure we'll all wait with you xx

Good luck! I have an early scan this evening too, mainly because it is our first, and wanted my husband to be able to share it with me (as he isn't allowed to any of my NHS scans sadly). Bricking it!! But no reason to think anything is wrong.... that is what I keep telling myself...

@Rose2108 good luck for yours too 💗 and fingers crossed your local hospital changes rules soon. Our 12 week scan is next week and they have just introduced partners having to do a lateral flow test 24 hours before to be able to come with for the 12 week scan.. Hopefully more hospitals follow x

Thanks @1boo1 I hope they do change it! I might give them a ring and ask; he said he will drive me there and wait in the car! Bless. Aw it went so well today - still feels really surreal but measuring exactly 10 weeks and we saw the little blob and heartbeat pounding away! Feel quite relieved and excited for the next one now! X

it all went perfectly! Measured 9+1 as I thought and really strong heartbeat. So happy I can't believe it! thanks for the handhold xxx
