This may sound like a silly question, but I’m not sure if I’m 3.5 or 7 weeks...

I had my last “proper” period Feb 14th to 18th, but then a small lighter one March 10-12th, which fits my cycle.

I had my first positive pregnancy test on April 1st - very faint and now quite strong.

So I’m wondering either the test was a very early positive and I conceived around 20th March, or is it more likely that the lighter period was implantation and I conceived around 23rd Feb?

Thanks

If you'd conceived on 23rd Feb I would expect the 1st Apr test to have been quite a strong positive. I would go with LMP as 10th Mar as tests can pick it up very early.
Congratulations and good luck

I'd make a guess it was around 20th-24th of March and your test on April 1st would be right to be faint lined

NHS will date your pregnancy from the first day of your last period so from 02/03 xx

Id say around 4 weeks if your frer was faint on the 1st.

Congratulations

Right, bear with - I’ve had another think on this.
If it was LMP on 12th March, give it 10-14 days for ovulation and fertilisation, that would be 22nd March at the earliest, then 7-14 days for implantation would be March 29th at the earliest. Surely that’s too soon for HCG to show on a test two days later?

Would it not make more sense for that shorter 10-12th March be the implantation?

If you had implantation 10-12th March any test should have a strong positive on 1st April. You need a scan to confirm gestation, no point trying to guess. You can tell midwives that you think lmp 14th Feb if you like, they will have you in for a dating scan sooner but if you aren't as far along then you'll have to go back for another.
