Sweet smelling discharge

I'm 28 weeks pregnant and have noticed a sweet smell when I go to the toilet.

Preliminary googles seem to point towards leaking amniotic fluid but I don't have any water/liquid in my pants, just this very strong smell!

I will be speaking to my midwife, but wondered if anyone else had experienced this?

I had that and spoke to my midwife she wasn't concerned only said that if I was soaking through a pad she would be concerned about leaking amniotic fluid. She did say if I was worried I could contact my GP so they could do a swab but I didn't and it went by itself.

Amniotic fluid has a very distinct smell I think. My midwife advised me it smelt abit like semen, that clinical smell?? And when my waters broke before I gave birth that's exactly what it smelt like! There was no mistaking it.
Have a chat with your midwife, could just me your cervical fluid x

I had that sweet smell after I had my DD. To me it was this amazing bonding thing but obvs probably not 😂. I’d call your midwife or maternity triage centre for advice though,
