Still getting positive tests 12 weeks after twin miscarriage

Hello, I had a missed miscarriage on 6th Feb - I found out that i was pregnant with Twins. I was 11 weeks pregnant but the babies died at 6 weeks. I had a scan 3 days after the miscarriage and everything was gone. I am still get positive tests 12 weeks after the miscarriage and its making me so sad. I'm just wondering how long it took for your first negative test to come? I've been using HCG strip tests which show faint pink line and also first response which show a strong positive. On 11th March I was bleeding dry blood for about 7 days days but I'm still getting positive tests :(

I think maybe ring the unit again and ask them im sure it should be back to normal within 4 weeks. I had a missed miscarriage last year and I had retained product until 12 weeks later still getting positive tests, once it was gone I had a negative test 10 days later. They may need to scan you again.

I agree.
12 weeks is too long.
You need another scan, you could have retained product, or you could be pregnant, either because it wasn't a complete miscarriage, or with a new pregnancy.

I would contact epau as this is a long time to still be getting positives. They should be able to do scans or tests to help get answers.

My last mc was in July. I'd had a private scan at 8+3 which showed baby measuring 7+4 with hb, 4 days later started spotting and I passed baby a week after the scan. I got negative test about 3 weeks later. Had 1st period 2 weeks after the negative then back to regular 4wk cycles after that until having a chemical in the cycle before bfp with current (21+1wk now).

Sorry for your losses.

I am about 7 weeks since my MMC and still getting faint positives on hpt. I’ve have 2 sets of bloods a week apart and the hcg levels dropped from 85 to 44 but this was 2 and 3 weeks ago. They have said it’s just taking longer for it to leave my body.

Its not negative, there is a line which id imagine looks a little stronger in RL.

Best to get it checked out, to be on the safe side
