I had a miscarriage 8 weeks ago and still no period! I've had super light brown discharge for about a week, has this happened to anyone else ?

I had several miscarriages. It depends on how long your hcg has taken to fall - generally once id passed the sac I would count that as cycle day 1 and would then get my period around 28 days later

Hcg had a half life of around 24 hours so every day it should halve - most women won't ovulate until hcg reaches zero and then you can expect your period around 2 weeks after they

So it's possible that your levels have taken a long time to fall

I would arrange to speak to a GP though if it goes on much longer x

Thank you for responding! I took a pregnancy test 3 weeks after I passed it and it was negative, 4&1/2 weeks since that negative test and still no period! My doctor didn't seen concerned when I mentioned it a week ago.

Hey! So sorry for your loss! I had a d&c 5 weeks ago and have not ovulated since. I did not bleed at all after it so also looking for advice if anyone has experienced something similar?

Sorry for your loss ladies- I had my surgery yesterday and apart from a little bleeding straight after I have had nothing. I’m a little worried as I’ve read some women experience nothing and then get a delayed bleed. Have you contact your gp?

I would test again.
You can fall pregnant again soon after you get a negative test after a mc. I got bfp with our 3rd child 6wk after a mc at 8wk.

I took a pregnancy test a week ago and it was negative! Still no period, 9 weeks after a natural miscarriage

Hi @Amac2 I would be pushing to get an internal scan to ensure you don't have RPOC (retained product of conception) if you are trying to conceive again, better to find out sooner.

If you're not looking to conceive or not in a rush, maybe wait a few more weeks. Your body can take time to readjust after a loss.

After my MC, my body took about 8-10 weeks to my first period (this was after a second D&C due to RPOC) I was so impatient for it and worried about loads of things, but it did eventually get there. Even if tests are showing negative, there could be a little hCG still there.

Thanks for the info! Would i have any signs other than no period if that's the case ?! I would like to conceive again, after my first period !

It's most likely that you will have a positive pregnancy test (depends on the level of hCG) and I suppose you could still have pregnancy symptoms and, of course, the missed period.

I think I had the positive test (over a year ago now) and missed period but didn't have any symptoms as it was a very small amount but enough to keep my hCG levels up.

I don't know how common it is, but it's good to be aware.

Best start would be to ask for a hCG blood test probably. As if you're below 10 (sometimes 20) it's really unlikely there's anything to worry about.

I took another test yesterday and it was negative, I called my doctor and she said I have to wait 3 weeks and then if I still don't get a period she'll send me for bloodwork, so frustrating waiting and not being able to start trying again.

So I’m nearly three weeks late and this morning I woke up in agony, a couple hours have passed and I’ve now passed a rather large and painful lump from my body. The blood is bright red, and the lump is about 7cm long

Just wondered if your period arrived?

I’m in a very similar position-
I had a mmc of twins (first pregnancy) at 8 weeks on 1/5, then had erpc on 2/5. I bled for 10 days.
Then since Sunday (4 weeks post surgery) have had very light, brown spotting, mostly when I wipe on/off.
Could this be my period? No other symptoms!

It finally came, 11 weeks and 1 day from the day I passed eveything
