URGENT DENTAL CARE HELP?

Hi,

I'm currently 37+ weeks and due to be induced tomorrow.

I've been juggling with pregnancy related conditions and a wisdom tooth pain, unfortunately something I wish I could just ignore and push away until baby is here!!

It's now come to a point where paracetamol is not helping and I cannot eat on the right side or drink as it hurts too bad.

I've called 111 for emergency dental care; nurse will get back to me within the hour... possibly have a temp filling or root canal?

My question is I've filled in maternity exemption form via GP over a week ago... I am yet to receive the certificate by post. Can I use my MatB1 certificate in the mean time?

Will I be charged? I will obviously take my maternity notes too if they need more proof.

If anyone can respond to me I would greatly appreciate it 🙏

You're very late applying for an exemption. Just tell them that you are still waiting for it to come through and tick the exemption box on the paperwork.
I went to my dentist for a checkup before my exemption letter came through and they just took my word for it. I asked if they wanted the exemption once it came through but they said it wasn't nessesary.

I don’t know about the exemption stuff but i had terrible wisdom tooth pain in my last pregnancy during my third trimester and they happily extracted it for me at the dentist because they didn’t want me on antibiotics x

You are late with exemption form but I have never been asked to show it when I had dental treatment to remove very painful tooth.
