Scan dates tend to only be out by a few days tbh. What's your specific situation and dates? Perhaps we could help?

SnooperTrooper12345 · 05/04/2021 20:02

They won't be that far out, no. Normally a few days max.

If you think you're 12 weeks but have been dated 8, it sounds like you fell pregnant a month after you originally thought?

SmidgenofaPigeon · 05/04/2021 20:03

Not sure what you mean. If you had a scan at 8 weeks it would be blindingly obvious if the baby was four weeks further along than that.

Basically made a massive mistake 26 September then I found out I was pregnant in dec went for scan on 5 jan n they said 8 week went for another on 1 feb they said 13 week and another on 19 March they said 19week so this all says I conceived in November which is what I believe it right too as I had a small period in November too I’m trying to say is .. is there any chance the scans could wrong at all and be 4 week out to make me the mistake be a chance if been father in September .. I hope this makes sense my head is just a mess I don’t want my family to break up

You've had 3 scans all stating the same date conceived. So no. There is zero change you conceived 4 weeks before it.

Even with 1 scan it wouldn't be 4 weeks out.
It would be more than 4 weeks out anyway if you conceived in September. You would be almost 30 weeks.

Amz6219 · 06/04/2021 11:18

Pretty much no chance that you conceived in September and scans are never that far out (usually +/- 5 days), all the scans suggest you conceived in November x

Janxyb · 06/04/2021 11:21

3 scans wouldn't be wrong and if you concieved in Sept you would be much further along, they wouldn't get that wrong at a 19 week scan x

RizzleRazzle · 06/04/2021 11:26

Scans can be a few days out but not 5 weeks, no. You've had 3 scans that have told you the same date so why don't you believe them?

SmidgenofaPigeon · 06/04/2021 11:28

Nope. Confused as to why you don’t believe the trained sonographers but think randoms on the Internet can reassure you otherwise!

The scans you’ve had are showing the correct dates.

nellly · 06/04/2021 11:51

No you defo conceived in November not September all three scans wouldn't be wrong

CanofCant · 06/04/2021 12:06

Does the November conception mean the baby has the father you want (I assume your partner) but the guilt you feel is making you second guess and fear for the worst?

lamptastic · 07/04/2021 12:10

No, you conceived as per the three scans you've already had.

Sounds like you'll need to start planning what to do about the mistake you mentioned earlier...
