nope
carry on
as you were

unless of course you have been pouring it in to a plastic bag, hooking the handles round your ears and breathing deeply, probably at while at a bus stop somewhere quite rural and dull.
(I remember calling up the Weedol information poisons line when I'd sprayed some of their product on the garden at 12 weeks pg. They were very kind. They didn't laugh at me)

lol sw (have you built your house yet?)

I've just got the decorators in to finish a couple of rooms I started and couldn't finish because I'm a lazy mare I was terribly worried about the effects of chemical fumes on my precious unborn

Seriously, not a stupid question at all, but just painting a skirting board will not do any harm. Make sure where you work is well ventilated though, for your sake.

hello franke

yes the Wong Wing is almost finished. We will be in by xmas

i too have been painting ceilings and the rest and skirting boards although I went for a satin finish and not gloss.

How's the bakery business? I wouldn't mind a recipe for stollen if you've got one going spare ( although Australian wheat is very soft - do you use a strong flour for it?)

seen my boyfriend lately?

hi,I'm a gardener and my husband is a decorator so both of us are used to working with chemicals mentioned above. whilst most emulsion paints are ok if you are glossing make sure you keep the room v. ventilated if you are doing it as they are not good stuff, as for weed killers my midwife told me to avoid at all cost, even with gloves on!

franke · 11/11/2007 08:42

Only here . I suspect the Stollen maybe an ancient family secret recipe and all that yawn but I'll ask.

Good luck with the wong wing - sounds v exciting.

When pregnant with DD2 a couple of years ago I painted my whole flat and at 9 months pregnant went up a ladder to drill a hole for a curtain rail! The nesting urge had a whole different meaning for me. I was imagining a bit of dusting and hoovering not the desire to rebuild my house . Both myself and daughter were fine.

thanks for the info ladies, will get my painting finished today (well some of it)
