It will be different for each trust. Mine were £6 for 3 last time but this time they were free. Does it give you any information in your letter?

Crazycatlady83 · 05/04/2021 11:22

My trust was £10 for 2, you brought a ticket by the front reception desk from a machine which accepted cash or card. Although the sonographer then gave me 4 pictures anyway!

Moominmiss · 05/04/2021 11:28

My trust aren’t charging at the moment. I got given 3 for free.

BurningBenches · 05/04/2021 11:28

My trust was also £5 per picture, payable by a machine before you go in.

MM1993 · 05/04/2021 11:29

I didn't get offered or given any at all - was told to take pictures on my phone of the screen

Pinkorblue25 · 05/04/2021 11:32

I've got a 10 year old, a 2 year old and had my 12 week scan with my 3rd baby a few weeks ago, I've never had to pay for any scan pictures 12 or 20 weeks

showmorekindness · 05/04/2021 11:44

I got given 2 for free. There was a machine in reception to pay for photos but it had an out of order sign on it (not sure if due to covid)

Chelyanne · 05/04/2021 11:45

They are £6 at our trust usually but...

I have been given them free at both my dating and anomaly scans this pregnancy.

Liv1920 · 05/04/2021 11:49

Hey and no it just says to arrive alone

Mine were free

Chica1990 · 05/04/2021 13:31

Mine was £20 for 4 but we were allowed partners. Seems harsh to make you buy some if you’re coming alone!

SnooperTrooper12345 · 05/04/2021 13:34

Mine are £5 per photo normally however they didn't charge this time.

Also I'd say to call and double check that you're not allowed anyone with you. A lot of trusts are still putting that on the letters but have actually changed their policy!

Dothepropeller21 · 05/04/2021 13:36

My hospital is only charging at the 20 week scan, which is the only scan partners can come to. It's £10 for 8.

georgarina · 05/04/2021 13:58

With both of my DC there were signs up saying you had to pay, but the tech printed them when I asked. Second time I didn't even have to ask she just printed them for me x

Nat4392 · 05/04/2021 14:24

It varies massively by trust. My 12 scan, the first was free (they had no cardboard mounts which may have been a reason for that) and all subsequent ones were £4. By 20 week scan they were all £4 each

bubblebath62636 · 05/04/2021 14:27

On my letter it said to bring pound coins for the machine to print scan photots (£4 each). However we got one for free.

The quality was crap though, we got much better photos as private scans (which is understandable, nhs are for medical checks not pretty photos).

Janxyb · 05/04/2021 14:32

We have to pay for and download our photos on the meetmibaby website (so you have to print yourself if you want an actual photo for a frame etc) £10 per photo !!!

OhhOkay · 05/04/2021 14:34

I can't remember exactly but I think it was £6 for about 4 or 5. The sonographers always ended up giving me quite a few luckily. Paid by machine which gave you a receipt to hand to the sonographer.

Skymum82 · 05/04/2021 14:37

Mine were £5 each, we bought 3 she was very clear we would be paying £5 for each one 😂. Sadly the machine was broke, 🤦🏼‍♀️😂🤷🏼‍♀️. So they were all free.

mayihavesomecakeplease · 05/04/2021 14:44

Definitely call to double check about brining someone. My scan was at the Harris Birthright and it said no partners, but actually they do allow them and kept asking me if I had my partner waiting outside!

They didn't print photos, I had to take them on my phone.

ChunkyButFunky87 · 05/04/2021 15:42

Leicestershire £10 for 2 or £18 for 3. However I'm now 26 weeks and they haven't been charging at all during this pregnancy I think due to Covid/stop people touching the screen to buy, so I've had all mine free (4 scans so far)

ChunkyButFunky87 · 05/04/2021 15:43

£18 for 4!*

altlife · 05/04/2021 16:12

My Trust has informed us they are £10 for 3
