When did your food aversions disappear?

I'm 15+6 with first baby. Nausea is thankfully disappearing as is gagging when brushing my teeth.

However, since the start of pregnancy, I have had a strong aversion to the smell of onions. Can smell them a mile off and they make me feel so ill.

I realise this sounds quite trivial but I'm a keen cook and literally everything has onions in it. I'm okay eating them, just can't stomach the smell.

When are food aversions likely to disappear? Seriously panicking it'll never be the same again :(

Mine wasn't really until about 15 or 16 weeks either op but it went overnight almost! Its such a yak part of pregnancy so hoping it goes for you soon!

I was week 15 when the sickness disappeared but it took me another few weeks to completely get my appetite back as I had been gagging at so many things - 36 weeks now and I can’t stop eating lol.

I'm 31 weeks and some of my aversions have gone but not others. I went off hot drinks but I can drink them again now.

However, any foods that I was eating when my sickness was really bad I'm still avoiding as they make me feel nauseous by association now.

I went right off a lot of things during pregnancy, tastes went back to normal pretty much as soon as I had the babies!

The smell of the olives on the market stall used to make me sick, still does now 16 years later...
Butcher shop also did the same, that’s not quite as bad but still makes me feel sick

Agree with @Suite88! Now 33 weeks, most aversions and sickness went by 20 weeks but there are some things I just can’t stomach as they remind me of being nauseous. I also completely went off hot drinks but am ok with them now.
It’s less food and smells tbh - can’t use a certain shampoo as it brings back memories of a vomity 1st trimester. Still not great with frying bacon, much to my OH’s dismay. Ditto the smell of our new bathroom cabinets which were installed when I was still earlyish.

@Rosieposy89 onions also make me barf 🤢 I wasn’t able to chop them or cook them and I’m now 15 weeks and still avoid if possible x

15-16 weeks in both pregnancies.

16+2 - woke up and it had completely disappeared.

20 weeks and some things still making me queezy including coughing making me retch which is fun. And peppers and onions.
