How many newborn babygrows?

I've researched and found people suggest I need 8 newborn babygrows per day. If I'm likely to use 8 a day, would you suggest I buy 16 because some will be in the wash or drying, while I have 8 clean and ready-for-use ones? All help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Reflux baby definitely went through that many a day. They're a relatively cheap item you can buy in packs at the supermarket so I think we started with 2 packs of size 1 month size and went from there.
But fingers crossed you won't have all the sick like we did!
