I would go to A&E and get checked, they might scan you and put your mind at rest xxx

I had quite a few episodes of bleeding throughout the first 16 weeks. Do you have an early pregnancy unit nearby? I found they were amazing, and every time I had any sort of bleeding they'd bring me in to scan me. Everything was okay I'm now 31 weeks, no real reason for it ever found xx

Thanks for advice I have been ringing hospital near me no answer with it being Easter which I thought was quite bad really then I was on phone to 111 for 20 mins before I could get through to anyone and with being a pandemic its full of covid options I have my very first midwife appointment on Wednesday am also anemic and recess negative so will need anti d injection and I think its quit shocking that am 12-13 weeks and not seen anybody I always stress and suffer from anxiety disorder and this doesn't help and thanks again for getting back xxxxxx

Sorry you have this worry OP. Is this your first baby?

A&E never scanned me and I had to wait for the EPU to open the following day (such a hard wait!). If the bleeding has stopped, I'd stay at home and contact the EPU directly when they open. Some are open at the weekends.

Did the doctor at 111 say you need an anti d injection? If you do and it needs to be done quickly then do to go A&E or contact maternity triage.

I would go and wait in A and E. you probably will not get a scan until Tuesday but at least you will be booked in. They can also take hormone count from your blood and then use it to measure if it's going up and doubling as it should.

Last year I had three miscarriages. The first one I was examined, scanned and the baby had not heartbeat, the second I wasn't examined but they scanned me, the third I was scanned immediately and said they couldn't decide if I had so come back in two weeks and they would check. I lost it. All had very little blood loss.

However forth pregnancy I had a fair bit of blood loss, two early scans and all was alright! I don't want to give you false hope but getting it checked out will be the only thing that will keep you sane. Really hoping it's positive news x

You haven't had your first midwife appointment yet at 12-13 weeks? Your booking appointment and booking bloods needed to be done at 10 weeks.

Have you even got your scan booked? That has to be done before 13+6

Alfiejay23 · 03/04/2021 20:37

No I know its shocking really I had a scan at 10 weeks with my first and no I don't think am even booked in i am seeing my midwife for first time on Wednesday

Oh wow. I'd be calling up some people hun! Did you put your dates down correct?

Because of Covid I didn't have a face to face appointment with midwife until 28 weeks but had my first booking appointment over the phone at 10 weeks and then sent for bloods and she put in for my 12 week scan.
Hopefully they get you in for your scan before 13+6 or they won't be able to do it properly and certainly won't be able to offer you your screening blood test
