Hello this is my first pregnancy. I started spot bleeding just when going to the toilet was a light brown blood. Then was red at 6am this morning. I spoke to 111 then to a gp and a lady at the early pregnancy unit. The bleeding has had small clots and one larger one. They weren’t worried as I wasn’t in pain but soar under tummy like you would have with period and tight inside hips.Been offered blood test at gp when open on Tuesday to check hormone levels then one the week after to check if miscarried. The bleeding is light more so when I go to the loo. Still have my usual pregnancy symptoms was also told it could be implant bleeding. Has anyone had the same? I’m so worried as nothing I can do

Unfortunately there isn't anything you can do. Some people have bleeding and it's fine. Some people have bleeding and it's not.

Still having symptoms won't mean anything as hcg will still be in your body so it isn't an indicator to tell you if you're miscarrying or not.
My symptoms after my miscarriage lasted 3 weeks

Nipponnyp · 04/04/2021 01:01

I am going through the same thing. I was like you one week earlier, I should be 6 wks by now, previous spotting but then got a bad pain like period pain on Tuesday morning after which I went to the Emergency. They tested my hcg level but its not doubling and increasing so slowly and I was diagnosed with miscarriage. Although 3 days apart my scan showed some progress from an empty sac to a yolk sac, I started bleeding last night like a period bleeding....I think I have miscarried.. But still they will monitore my hcg level and scan if necessary to confirm I have a complete miscarriage... I found on another thread, some people are experiencing heavy bleeding but still have a healthy pregnancy. Your case may be to early to say anything. It can be an implantation bleeding, or worst can be MC but I guess unless we are sure, so harm to keep up with your hopes but also prepare for the worst....which is really hard and I am going through this now..

Best of lucks.

* sorry for my typo, i mean "No harm to keep up with your hopes"*

Wanda21 · 04/04/2021 11:27

Thank you. Your message really helped me this morning as I spoke to a gp and she believes I have had a miscarriage. She has apologised if she is wrong but she has booked a scan for me at my early pregnancy unit tomorrow morning. So nothing to do until then. The bleeding is still light but still have clots. We have family coming round to the garden this afternoon, I’m just hoping the distraction will help as at the moment I just don’t know what to think or feel. I hope you are feeling well and wishing you all the best X

@Wanda21 just to say you're not alone, I'm around 5 weeks and just had pink bleeding.. I don't think it's gonna end well so kinda expecting af to show up (I'm a week late today) I've no idea what to think or feel. I did a CB test today and had a faint line but blue tests have been faint the whole time and frer have been dark?! I'm so confused.. is it a chemical or implanting. Guess the next few days will tell!

Wanda21 · 04/04/2021 17:24

Yes that’s what we thought was implantation but with clots and bright colour blood was more worrying. Just need to see what happens tomorrow but hard to know when you still have pregnancy symptoms your brain is still telling you your pregnant but worrying symptoms you don’t know what to feel. I hope things go well for you and it’s a comfort to know I am not alone at least x

Hi, I had bright red blood with my first, turned out to be a subchorionic haemorrhage and completely harmless, good luck and hope everything is ok xxx

Wanda21 · 04/04/2021 20:17

I’m glad all worked out well for you and your first. Can I ask did you have blood clots too?

Wanda21, on another thread of this forum, I saw a lot of people with subchorionic haemorrhage experiencing heavy period like bleeding, with clots, with cramps with everything, some even had it for their entire prenancy but most of them for the first 20 weeks. It's extremely hard for all of us, trying to google and search for some possitive hopes but again just prepare for the worst so that we at least can still move on and always know that you are not alone. All the best to you.

Wanda21 · 05/04/2021 07:37

Thank you. I have my scan this morning. Hoping for the best but have prepared myself as much as I could I suppose for the worst. I don’t think you can ever prepare much for news of grief. I will message and say what happens. Either way, as I hope it will help someone too.

Update. I had my scan today but nothing was seen not necessarily a bad thing as it is very early. Pregnancy test was positive and I have had some bloods done. I need to go back in 48 hours to have more bloods done then they will compare the hormones levels to see where I am at. It could be the baby is still there but was to small to see, two that I have miscarried or three that I have a ectopic pregnancy. Just a waiting game now and have been told to go to a&e if bleeding becomes heavier, more painful. Will post again on Wednesday. I hope this is of help to anyone unsure I advice to contact your early pregnancy unit if you don’t have a midwife yet x

@Wanda21 do you have any update to your last post? Just as I'm in the same position

Wanda21 · 18/04/2021 18:58

Hello, I have had an incomplete miscarriage unfortunately. Still being monitored with my hormone levels via blood tests as via scan some tissue is left. So hopefully won’t have to have an medical intervention and can have complete with out help just naturally. Have you been to your local early pregnancy unit? They are very supportive and next time I can self referee myself for a scan at 6 weeks. Hope your okay

So sorry to hear that. I hope you are ok xx
I was spotting Friday just a small amount of reddish (I wouldn't say bright red) I went to the doctors who did a blood test and an internal scan. The scan didn't show anything although they said it may be too early as I'm only 4/5 weeks. The bloods came back 790 for my hgc I had to go in today for another blood test which came back 2000. I have spotted this morning again though and then the rest of the day has been a bit of brownish spotting. I have a scan on Thursday. To be honest I'm fearing the worst.

MayDay27 · 18/04/2021 19:34

Also hope you do not mind me asking but what were your hormone level numbers? I really hope you don't need medical intervention. I've heard it is more likely to conceive the time after early miscarriage xx

Wanda21 · 18/04/2021 19:54

It could be implantation bleeding. Have you had any clots? Your hormone level count sounds good to me. We are getting there but was our first pregnancy so we are heartbroken and as not complete yet I’m still uncomfortable and with pregnancy symptoms so it’s very mentally draining . I don’t mind at all my hormone levels were very low 126 as I started to miscarriage on a Friday evening but didn’t have a blood test until Easter Monday lunch time. Yes we will try again I have just been advise to wait till my hormone level drops and I have a first period. We are getting married in 3 and a bit weeks. We have cancelled 3 times due to the pandemic so we are just focusing on that to keep are minds focus on something happy whilst we are in limbo xx

MayDay27 · 18/04/2021 20:24

I've not had any clots but when it's been brownish there's been a few tiny stringy bits (sorry tmi!). This is my first pregnancy too. We got married last August just as restrictions had lifted a bit. I think the past few days I've driven myself a little insane googling things, I've done I don't know how many tests, I'm now trying to be more chilled about it. I know everyone's probably already said this to you but I keep saying to myself it's a good sign to have been able to get pregnant and it will happen xx

MayDay27 · 18/04/2021 20:26

Also I wasn't sure if could be implantation bleeding as I had spotting in the run up to my period for a few days about 10 days ago and then my period never started. Since it didn't I took a test and got the positive and the spotting had stopped, then Friday was when it started up a bit again. I thought then this spotting would be too late on to be implantation bleeding but it's all so confusing!

MayDay27 · 18/04/2021 20:27

I hope you have an amazing wedding, three weeks time that's so exciting!!

Wanda21 · 19/04/2021 17:30

Thank you. It’s getting so close now so we are happy to be looking forward to something especially at the moment. Just hopefully everything can work as we hormone levels not dropping the miscarriage isn’t complete so still having pregnancy symptoms which is hard. Yes being more relax about it helps very hard but I found making peace with it will help you not to stress to much as you just need to trust your body will do what it needs to. And the doctors will do the same. I did the same looking on the internet as I felt so confused and panicked I’m sure most people would do the same now x
