I believe anywhere between 140 and 180 is normal.
If your midwife wasn't concerned then no need for you to be

I’m now 21 weeks with a little boy and around 11 weeks his heart rate was 172bpm.

I think it peaks at around 12 weeks and then declines a little. His hr still hovers around 145-155 now

Yes both my twins (boy/girl) had heart rates at 10 weeks at 183

It's normal, also maybe you're having a girl, when I was pregnant I read girls have higher heart rates than boys and it was true for my two.
