2nd Ectopic??

Hi all

Hoping someone could help.

For background:
Ectopic in December 2020 resulting in left tube being removed
2 early miscarriages in May and November

I'm 4 weeks 3 days pregnant now but am having minor cramps on right hand side. I went EPU today, no sac seen and HCG over 2000!!!! I need to go back in 2 days for repeat tests, but I think it all points to a ectopic. Not sure what to do.

My discharge notes also mention corpus luteum??

Does it say anything about the corpus luteum?
It forms in the ovary (completely normal) and basically there to produce progesterone.

Cysts can form in it though which can be painful.
Possibly what they've seen?

Hi @SnooperTrooper12345

Thanks so much for responding

Yes it mentions corpus luteum with haemorrhagic
There's also mention of pouch of douglas

I'm going out of my mind with worry.

That doesn't surprise me! Hopefully you get some answers.

Corpus Leteum with hemorrhagic means a cyst.
So it sounds like you have a cyst in yours and this is what's causing you pain.

The Pouch of Douglas is an area where fluids collect. But that fluid can be caused by many things, fluids related to ovulation, ruptured cysts, fluids from an infection but also blood from a ruptured ectopic pregnancy.

It's possible the area is just down on your notes as an area to keep an eye on. Especially as you had an ectopic before.
However, if you have a cyst, this could be the reason

I didn't have anything seen on my scans at 5 weeks and my hcg was high. I now have a 4 year old.

With an ectopic, your HCG rarely gets that high so it sounds unlikely it's ectopic hun.

The previous post isn't actually correct

I had 2 live ectopics (babies had heartbeats) and my hcg was over 5000 in the first and 10,000 in the second. Both times Hcg doubling normally every 48 hours

Unfortunately to me the does sound like another ectopic OP x

I did say rarely. As what happened with yours is not usually the case

@SnooperTrooper12345

Thank you..thats really been helpful in understanding what it may be. I'm hoping its just the cyst.

@LadyBillyBon wow..holding onto the hope. Thank you for your message

@ivfbeenbusy I'm so sorry you went through this too!! Can I ask whether both your tubes were removed? I'm not sure where it leaves me if they remove my existing tube. Or whether I should go back to the epu asking for some action now.

Feeling a little overwhelmed. Xx

@LadyBillyBon my HCG went to 11,000 with an ectopic pregnancy

@AD1986

Yes I lost both tubes. My second ectopic was following an IVF transfer. Turns out IVF actually increases the risk of an ectopic rather than decreasing it ( part of the reason why we turned to IVF was because at the time I was one tube down and struggling to get pregnant again).

I felt like I was playing Russian roulette with my life every month we TTC and my DD was traumatised when my tubes ruptured (I still remember her screaming mummy as they literally ran with me as they wheeled me into surgery - she was only 2 the first time and age 3 the second). I couldn't do it anymore

I recently had twins via IVF x
