I am due to give birth here, ideally planned Abdominal birth. Anyone got any recent experiences at this hospital? I have moved and transferred my care recently and very nervous about this.

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Not recent I’m afraid, but I had my son there nearly 4 years ago. They were excellent. Currently pregnant again with number 3 and will deliver there again. Baby number 2 was delivered at St George’s as she had complications during the pregnancy. Personally, I much preferred the midwifery care at East Surrey, and am really happy that I’ll be able to have this baby there. They’ve bent over backwards to ensure I get the necessary care this pregnancy (baby no 2 had a life limiting genetic condition).
In pre Covid times they used to let you have a look around the unit before the birth so you’d know what to expect, but I doubt that’s possible at the moment. If you have any worries then speak to your midwife. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

@Emma65322 Thank-you so much for your response, it has helped reassure me!
Bless you on your experience of your baby, may i ask how come you delivered at St George's, did East Surrey blue light you there.. ?or did you plan to have a baby there from the beginning? xxx
