Hi everyone.

Me and my husband are just going through our 2nd round of IVF...we got a positive result Monday morning (4 really) since Monday afternoon I have been spotting ranging from little pink to brownish....I repeated a test yesterday morning(Thursday) as advice by the hospital another positive but no cramping or anything little that. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything like this?

Thank you in advance

I've had pink and brown spotting in all 5 of my pregnancies between weeks 4 and 7.
Had a scan with 2 of them where the doctor confirmed it was leftover blood from implantation. Along with the foetus burying deeper.

I have an IVF baby and also had spotting, at one point there was bright red blood and I was convinced the embryo hadn’t stuck but everything turned out fine. Fingers crossed for you that everything is fine too

Thank you lovelies, I know that it can be normal for some people but it can still be nerve wrecking.

It definitely is nerve wrecking. I presumed I was losing mine every time. Hence the 2 scans as my first 2 were miscarriages. Although they weren't related to the spotting

So sorry to hear that my love....I keep thinking mine isn't going to stick...it's took 7 years to get to this point...got an appointment today with the Ivf unit so think I will have a chat with one of the nurses about it.

Are you using progesterone? It can irritate you and cause bleeding. Two ivf kids here and loads of bleeding with both, it doesn’t always mean the end.

I am not 6+5 and have had lots of spotting since 4 weeks and also had a bright red bleed last Saturday. I had a scan at the epu the next day and baby was fine obviously very small and quite difficult to see a heart beat due to size but they were confident everything was ok and they didn't need to see me again. Hope you have better after a chat with the IVF nurse today. I still do worry each day tho it's hard to relax and not become obsessed with trips to the loo to see what's going on lol! X

Yeah I'm on cyclogest pessaries which have active progesterone in them.

Feeling a lot calmer now I have spoke with the nurse she said could just be implantation and to phone back if it becomes more and the advice on here has been amazing.

The spotting has turned into bright red bleeding and had cramping this evening. Trying not to worry and going to retest in 48hours.

Fingers crossed for you. If it is a miscarriage, your test may still be positive. Mine unfortunately took 4 weeks to go negative.

Got all my fingers crossed ❤️❤️

warning TMI

So today I haven't really had any cramps and the ones that I had yesterday were just my normal like period cramps. I did how pass these today....I have rang the assessment unit and they have given me an appointment for a scan in two weeks.

Has anyone experienced anything like this before?
