Clearblue showing 3+ weeks early?

Morning everyone

I tested this morning and got a BFP with 3+ weeks but I’m only 4+4 or 18 DPO. Could I have actually conceived last month but still had AF? Or did I conceive this month and the reading is just out due to higher levels of HCG?

Did anyone else use the same test and was surprised the test said you were further along?

We're you testing when you ovulated to know 100%?
The tests aren't accurate.
And you're not far off being 3+.
Mine was 3+ the first time I tested at exactly 5 weeks

Well I got 3+ at equivalent of 21DPO (5+0) ....with twins.....

It's more likely though that you ovulated earlier - I know my dates for certain was was IVF

There are also certain things like
Molar pregnancies and blighted ovum's which can cause very high hcg levels but they are pretty rare

Hcg levels vary greatly from one pregnancy to another.
These tests are just an estimated. I'd say yours is good. You are a couple of days away for 5 weeks.

My hcg levels were on the higher end but nothing wrong with the pregnancy.

I’d say it’s just varying levels of hcg.

I got a 1-2 at 10dpo, 2-3 at 12dpo and then 3+ at 18dpo.

All has been well so far, with just one healthy baby in there.

Thank you all for your replies, I was testing for ovulation yes so I don't think it's because I ovulated earlier but as people have said probably just due to differing levels of HCG in different people!

I got 3+ on a digital at 5+2 by lmp but that was the 1st time I'd used a digital after af was late. My dates were brought forward by 4 days at dating scan and anomaly scan confirmed those scan dates too. Must have ovulated/implanted a bit earlier than the average.
Our twins didn't give positive home tests any earlier than our singletons but they were a failed coil conception so I didn't test before af was due anyway. There were no early signs of a multiple, it was discovered via an epau scan due to the coil situation.
