Hi girls, i’m new to this but i need your help. I can off the pill on the 6th March, had a normal period between 15th - 20th March. On the 26th of March i started to bleed again, but it was light brown, then yesterday (31st March) the bleeding started to get heavier and more red. I have done 3 pregnancy tests, 2 cheap and 1 clear blue and all have said positive. Is this heavy bleeding my AF or IB? i need help as doctor was no good.

I cant see there being much of a chance that all 3 results are wrong! Many woman can lose a pregnancy so early, not even know and just assume the bleeding is a period. Its called a chemical pregnancy thats happens shortly after implantation. The dates are all so close together tho so its really hard to tell. Having not done the tests I would of just assumed your period was messed up cause of coming off the pill! Unless you suffer with other symptoms that concern you like bad paid etc your only option may be to sit it out and re-test in a week or so where id say it will probably be negative! Sorry your having to go through this OP!

It could go either way but I’d keep an eye on it. I had a period shortly followed by bleeding that was bright red and thin and water in texture then got positive pregnancy tests and was ectopic. If you are still getting positive tests with bleeding in a few days I’d contact your GP to check some bloods done to see what the levels are doing. Fingers crossed for you x

Were the tests positive after the bleeding? Can you get scanned at an EPU or at least get advice? Could be nothing, or could be something that needs checking. Good luck!

Even though the tests are still positive, it doesn't mean a miscarriage hasn't happened.
Sorry to put a downer on it.

HCG will still be in your system. It doesn't automatically go negative

Hey!

I am still bleeding heavy now and still with positive tests. Went to urgent care today and they've said i'm miscarrying and to test in a weeks time which he said it will show negative 99% 😢 It's sad that this is my first time ever doing this and this has happened!

@newmom321sorry to hear it OP. I know it can take a while for your hcg levels to drop. Such a hard thing to go through, sending love!

Sorry you're going through it.
Please don't be worried if your tests aren't negative within a week though.
Mine didn't go negative for 5 weeks!

Mrsbg1990 · 03/04/2021 00:30

@newmom321 please don’t be disheartened. I’ve read lots about women getting pregnant the very next cycle after a chemical.

I’m TTC my #1 and my first ever pregnancy ended in a MMC at 10 weeks in November 2020 and second pregnancy was a chemical which was in March 2021, my last cycle. I’m about to enter my fertile window so I’m also holding onto the hope that you’re more fertile after a CP. good luck xx
