Hi guys....
I got my coil out last June and have been actively trying since then with no joy. Has anyone else had any experience coming off the coil also?
Thank you 😁😁😁😁

I had had mirena for over 5 years before ttc first time, took 3 months. Mirena back in soon after giving birth. Out again after 2 years to try for a second baby, which only took 1 month.

If you still have no joy after a year contact the GP. You haven't mentioned which type you had?

I've only had a copper coil. Fell pregnant with our twins when I thought it was in place, they couldn't find it on scans though and had them at 38wk.

I had a copper coil for 7 years and conceived the month after, but that one obviously has zero hormones so may be a different experience with the mirena?

I had mirena coil out beginning of October 2020. Conceived 2nd cycle followed by MMC at 9 weeks. Conceived again second cycle after that, currently 4+4. My GP told me that mirena coil doesn't impact TTC once removed (I called to ask as I was 36 and trying for first baby).

Depending on your age you're still within the window of when you'd be expected to conceive, but I know it can be torture waiting for that BFP! Wishing you good luck with your journey OP🤞

@Shirley86xxx I had my merina removed in august 2019, fell pregnant in sept 2019 had a MC At 8 weeks, fast forward a year, fell pregnant October 2020 and now currently 27 weeks. It's so so frustrating waiting, I was giving up hope! Have everything crossed for you it happens soon! My periods were all over, I started reflexology which seemed to help and fell pregnant in that month x

If you're 35 you can approach your gp for investigations after 6 months if trying :) sometimes it takes a little longer, it's easier said than done but don't be disheartened. Are your periods regular? Regular means up to 2 days different each month not more- so for example 24 days, 26 days, 25 days. But not 24 days then 28days etc. If your period is regular it means you ovulate, if your period is all over the place some cycles might be non-ovulatory. Go see your go and they'll take a good history and some bloods. They might look at your partner's sperm too. If you're on insta or listen to podcasts look up natalie crawford md, she's an american ob-gyn and knows everything there is about fertility, i absolutely love her- best to listen to a specialists advice! Good luck op xx

I had a Mirena for 7 years, had it out in Jan 18 and fell pregnant in July 18. I do have endometriosis though and we did have a couple of months in the middle of not actively trying.
