Has anyone had this before? Positive then negative?

I tested yesterday morning with a cheapie strip test and it was faintly positive (I can’t post pics, I’m new)

I then tested with a frer that afternoon and it was negative. Waited and tested again this morning with FMU with frer and it was negative again.

I’m 16dpo and af is 3 days late. Could I be pregnant? I’ve not had any of my usual pms symptoms just some bloating and sensitive boobs. (Which I know can be pms but it’s not my usual signs)

Anyone had this before? I don’t know what to think. Is it a chemical pregnancy?

If af doesn't turn up in the next couple of days try testing again. It's either a chemical or just a bit early for the tests. Good luck

If you truly are 16 dpo this sounds like a textbook chemical. The conception did happen but it was very late to do so (likely poor quality sperm or egg, or an unfortunate combination of dna), hence such a late and short-lived surge of hcg. Take it as a good sign that you can conceive. Your period should start a few days later. If it doesn't, test again, who knows maybe you just ovulated late and it's one of those things? Take care.

Thanks. I will wait and see if af arrives. I think I'm 16dpo but no way of knowing for sure. Could only be 14dpo! Just going by the fertility tracker. I will wait and se what happens. I don't want to spend more money on tests at the moment

Yeah that's what I was thinking. Frer is meant to be really sensitive so I was surprised when I got the negative.

Wait for a week and then try a cheap pound shop or superdrug test or get some Internet cheapies. It will cost you a fortune to keep using frer.

That sounds like a plan! Defo can't afford to buy frer all the time haha

Still no AF for me. Not even a hint of it coming on yet. Now approx on 31cd.
