Feeling very cold

Since I got pregnant I'm very cold all the time, even wearing sweaters and blasting the heaters... Anyone's experienced that?

1st trimester yes, I link it to the extreme fatigue. Always cold when tired.

Yes, I sometimes felt like I was getting a fever in my first trimester, very shivery even during a heatwave. Definitely wasn't though. It did pass.

Yeah, my body temperature goes a bit haywire when pregnant too. More often cold, but sometimes really hot! We have a thermometer on the wall so I know it's me and not the actual temperature that's changing. Just one of the joys I'm afraid - use it as an excuse to treat yourself to a lovely fluffy jumper :)

I've definitely had this in the first trimester. No-one else i asked ever said the same. I was very shivery and couldn't get warm and I am usually a very hot person.

Yep, particularly in first trimester (obviously weathers warming up a bit now and I'm having a few hot flushes in second trimester). Felt cold all the time and it was miserable, found the only things that helped (house wasn't cold!) were hot water bottles or wheat bags. Sort of felt like all my blood was busy in my abdomen and organs and my extremities were getting left out! Hope you feel better soon.

Yes me too! 10 weeks.

hollahollaholla · 02/04/2021 17:59

Yes freezing all the time, wearing extra jumpers and blankets. Presuming it's tiredness making it worse.

georgarina · 02/04/2021 20:23

I was freezing this time in first tri. My feet and hands were like ice. Still colder than average now at 21 weeks.

EdgeOfACoin · 02/04/2021 20:31

I've had coldness.

I tend to feel the cold anyway, but I can be sitting on the sofa in a heated living room, shivering and trying to stop my teeth from chattering.

I always thought pregnancy was supposed to make you feel warmer!

Jessa89 · 02/04/2021 20:32

Me too! I’m in the first trimester and don’t remember this from my first pregnancy. I feel chilled to the bone like you just can’t get warm but not ill / feverish of anything.

Tibtab · 02/04/2021 20:34

Ha ha I am 9 weeks and currently bundled up in all my warm clothes under a duvet on the sofa - absolutely freezing!
