I'm just over 37 weeks and I'm losing the will! I feel like I've been pregnant for an eternity and I'm so, so uncomfortable and done with it all - just want to meet my baby!

Any tips on staying sane in these last few weeks? I'll take any suggestions at this point! Sad

Distraction is the only thing, try to busy yourself as much as possible. Once baby is here time will seem to fly by and you'll be desperate to slow it down.

AntiHop · 30/03/2021 10:57

I'm 39 weeks and have no idea how to achieve feeling calm Grin

AntiHop · 30/03/2021 10:58

I now feel even more stressed as writing that has reminded me I'm 39 weeks pregnant 🤣🙃

LifeIsBusy · 30/03/2021 11:12

@LucieStar Current 37 weeks and feeling the same although this is my last week at work.

Sleep is required.

BlueEyedPony · 30/03/2021 13:26

I'm 39 weeks.. I feel your pain

LucieStar · 30/03/2021 13:48

I thought the first trimester was bad but this is just awful. The exhaustion, aches and pains. Sad

I feel for those of you at 39 weeks!

@BlueEyedPony and @AntiHop now im rather jealous you are 2 weeks closer than I am.

Theswitch · 30/03/2021 13:54

I get so jealous of those who go early (not prem of course). It’s just not fair! I also have chunky babies so that’s always fun too! Smile

40+10 - 8lb 10oz
40+7 - 9lb
40+9 - 8lb 13oz

Currently holding my sleep thief 2 day old newborn, you will get there!

BlueEyedPony · 30/03/2021 13:54

@LifeIsBusy 2 people I know , were due after me, had their babies last week. I'm getting very impatient now Confused

LucieStar · 30/03/2021 14:00

I'm convinced she's never coming out. I'm going to be pregnant forever. Confused

@BlueEyedPony That happened to me with my first... oh the jealously I had and my LO turned up at 40+5.

Skyla01 · 30/03/2021 14:10

@LucieStar I think it helped me to think of my pregnancy ending at 41 weeks, and any earlier would be a bonus. Sorry that's probably not much help! But I think I would have gone mad analysing every twinge from 37weeks. So I just accepted I was likely in for the long haul. Also is this your first? I know it's annoying for people to say but really try and enjoy the last few weeks of "me time" and sleep, even if just naps.

My LO arrived at 40+6, she's 9 weeks old now. Obviously it's amazing but would recommend you make the most of having time for yourself!

SnooperTrooper12345 · 30/03/2021 14:15

The problem is that there's so much focus on the 'due date' when literally only 5% of babies come on that date.
I've always looked towards 42 weeks rather than 40.
It still goes slow obviously.
But being 37 weeks, you could still have 5 weeks left yet and that's even worse when you're focusing on 3 weeks time

otterbaby · 30/03/2021 14:16

I kept myself busy with lots of walking and cleaning (even though I had to take breaks very often 😂) but honestly, try to relax. I'm 6 months postpartum and I hated when people told me to sleep and relax because I'd been pregnant for 50 years and wanted to meet my baby, but for the love of god, TAKE A NAP WHILE YOU CAN!!! My biggest regret was not kicking up my feet and watching shit telly more because I would kill to do that now 😂

Best of luck to you x

BlueEyedPony · 30/03/2021 14:38

@LifeIsBusy my DD was born 40+9.. in sure I've got ages left to wait 😂

LifeIsBusy · 30/03/2021 14:50

@otterbaby I mean I would nap but having another small human doesn't allow for much peace and relaxation.

@BlueEyedPony I hear that your 2nd is likely to arrive earlier so im thinking you've got less time to wait.

Thank you - this is good advice. I've been doing bits of cleaning to keep busy but I can only do so much before I desperately need a break Confused

I've definitely been pregnant for 50 years. At least. Grin

I’m here! 36 weeks and have a rotten cold to go with it. Waking up countless times to pee & the heartburn has increased significantly too. I already have a 3 y/o boy who is currently at nursery (thank god!) just want to have the baby here with us now
