Hey,
So I have my 12 week scan tomorrow in the morning. I'm so nervous and can't stop overthinking. Anyone like to wait with me? Would be lovely to find out if your scans go okay? X

@Cafeaulait27

Wow it seems I remembered to update everywhere but here! I’m so sorry!

I’m pleased to say the scan went really well!

I felt so calm the night before and on the morning of the scan, whereas my husband was a nervous wreck and even had aches and pains all over. I think it’s because he feels responsible for my well-being and happiness and feels like it’s out of his control. When we got to the antenatal clinic I started to cry while we were waiting, and also when I sat down on the bed thing for the scan. It was like ‘this is the moment...’

The sonographer couldn’t get a good image abdominally so I had to empty my bladder for an internal scan. Those first few seconds felt like an age but she said she found the heartbeat. I was like ‘does this mean there’s a problem?!’ And she said no everything looks normal it’s just hard for me to get measurements, your womb might be slightly tilted.

So at this point I relaxed a bit and came back for the internal scan. She spent a long time getting measurements and kept reassuring me that everything looked normal which I was SO grateful for. It was amazing to see and hear the HB and see how developed the baby was - it was wiggling around, CR measurement was 55mm and NT was 2. The report also says all the limbs and organs are there and normal. So now just have to wait for blood test results next week!

The staff were so unbelievably nice and considerate as they knew about my losses. It was an amazing experience and I feel so reassured now and so in love with the baby!

Here’s a few pics!

Good luck for your scans ❤️❤️❤️

Awww that is so beautiful I'm glad it went okay!!! Congratulations🎉🎉xx

Ha! I've had a wee bump for two weeks now. Showed early last preg too, no idea why. Just a weirdo!
You're right, sure there's plenty to talk about ☺️ Is your morning sickness totally gone yet or still clinging on?

sunshine650 · 04/04/2021 10:23

@FeistySheep I never really had morning sickness just the occasional nausea what I get now!! Round ligament pain has started. Stomach feels so stretchy in the morning. Xx
